Was looking at getting a new Straight Talk phone. Got on their website, typed in my zip, started scrolling through the list. I seen they had an iPhone 5, sweet! I have been a customer of straight talk wireless for two plus years. It took a month for my first phone to be initially activated, and the phone was terrible and glitchy. In the past month I got a new phone and it took a few days for it to be activated (not 24 hours as promised). it has taken me a week and my phone is still not working. first no service, then they sent a new sim card and they could not associate it with my phone. they do not believe what customers say. The thing that fries me is that they waste hours and hours of the call center staff time - so they must pay them pennies an hour - in order to avoid replacing something like a SIM card that probably costs... Straight Talk Wireless offers a great product for an even better price! Sadly, if you ever have a problem with your service or phone you might as well through it away, and/or cancel your service and start over again with new of whatever failed. I have used Straight Talk for a few years now and love the service, but their customer service SUCKS. In the last thirty days I have had my data throttled before reaching the limit of 3g (which is a joke anyway), my data has been disconnected before reaching said limit, they failed to process my payment when I submitted it online, and now that my service is restored, my text messaging does not... I called to refill my service on 9-20-2014 gave my credit card number and purchased the $45.00 all you need plan. Turned my phone off than on and it said my phone was deactivated. I've been with s.t for years and now have a and Byop and have terrible service then a few weeks ago I got a text from straight talk saying they was no longer carrying 774 area code and switched my number on me and now I have the worst service ever I seriously have no service half the time I think after all these years I'm gonna have to switch carriers Add comment

I had almost the same experience. Their website told me my current I phone would accept their plan.Went to WalMart and inquired again and they assured me it would work. Bought the kit to activate it and wouldn't work. Their customer service advised me they had no towers in my area that would work with my I phone.
