My straight talk for the most part us great. However when straight talk sent me a txt a few months back it read I was qualified for the 5g.

I bought a new straight talk phone that was 5g compatible (LG Lucky) but yet it still says 3g in my status bar. Also when I called about the 5g upgrade one of the representatives said I would be getting an upgrade phone as well and I have yet to receive any such upgrade. I was 25+ yrs loyal customer with Verizon and one reason I left them was because I never got any promotions or incentives but a dble bill each month. I thought straight talk would at least follow through with what they promise.

I dont want to change to another carrier but if Im not a satisfied customer then thats what Ill have to do. I was also told that after 6 months my monthly unlimitef plan would be reduced to $30 per minth and when that didnt happen I started purchasing refill cards rather than use my debit card.

Can someone email me answers to my concerns before Ive no choice but to look for a service provider who will follow through what they say and/or promise. Thanks for taking the time to address this.

Worst in the world

I can't use the product because the phone came out of the package new with the wrong battery. I was told I would be sent one for 12 days and still have not received it, or have gotten a tracking number. I finally asked for my money back and they said I would have to pay the return shipping even though it is clearly their fault. I had to go as far as reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Every time I call I get more upset because they do not appreciate their customers, they care nothing about you. A great service even cheaper is Gosmart $25 a month for unlimited talk, text, and Facebook go online and look it up I give it a 4 out of 5 only because in some small towns the data is very slow, but big cities 5 out of 5. They care about their customers and will do anything to make you happy. Please if you have trouble with Straight Talk report them to http://www.bbb.org/ CUSTOMER SERVICE 703-276-****. Don't let them get away with it like everyone else does take a stand.

Bad Service

I have had Straight Talk for 4 years. I recently decided to switch my phone service. I called and they would not unlock my phone. When I tried to return to the website to see when the "required 12 months," was up, I could not log on. I called customer service, was told I was using the wrong login credentials. I have an app on my phone used the same login, got on, no problem. However the app does not offer any details on a cell phone device that the original website does. Got on a different computer to logon still can not. I had a problem with them in the past when signing up for auto pay. They tried to make it difficult to un-enroll. I will not recommend a company that tries to hold you hostage for service.

Worst service any "customer" could ever get, rep took the call, just said he was going to transfer me to a department which was going to give me the same answer, and hang up the call. Also Explained that I was unable to return the service plan, that there is money involved and I am at s loss, and he said it was not his problem. You can not use the service plan they sell if the phone you got you did not buy from them, you are forced to get something specific from the. And manipulated to get the service they want you to get which does not give what it advertise it gives.

Straight Talk Wireless - Mobile Hotspot Plan Review

It says unlimited data but it is only 5 GB because of the horribly slow speeds for everything after 5gb. You can't load anything up at all. I used 3gb on YouTube alone which is well over half. I really wish they made it slighlty faster so i can use what i payed for!!

Straight talk assigned phantom phone to account.

I took my phone off the charger and went to place a call. I then got a "Mobile network not available" message and had no bars within the icon. On the website, under my account, a fourth phone which I did not purchase was listed with my current phone and the two old ones that were deactivated. The phantom phone was enrolled in auto-refill and was assigned my number. I called straight talk and had them reactivate the phone I do use, and delete the phantom phone from my account. I was told to allow up to 24 hours for my phone to reactivate. The next day it still did not work so I called again. I was told that the number transfer deactivated the sim card for my current phone and would have to wait 2-5 days for a replacement to be mailed. So I am currently without my perfectly fine phone, that should have never been messed with in the first place, for a week that I am paying for with my up to date and paid service. Also, my phone data has been shut off three different times in the past for using too much data on an unlimited plan.

A Straighttalk phone was purchased for me, and when I went to activate it, they said it was not scanned properly when it was purchased at Walmart.Since someone else purchased the phone for me, I do not have the receipt. No one will help me since I do not have proof of purchase. Now I have an almost $200 phone that I cannot do anything with. Walmart will not rescan the phone without the receipt, and Straighttalk won't reset it without proof of purchase. Straight Talk Wireless - Phone Plan Review

I have been using Straight Talk for over a year and it is the worst service I have ever had. It's cheap and you get what you pay for but usually it's less.

And now the straight talk plan is the face value of the monthly card PLUS TAX? I'd rather pay $60.00 (10.00 more than what I normally pay now) to get good solid reliable cellphone service along with REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I am so dissapointed...Shame on you Straight Talk!!!

Straight Talk stinks. I have been a customer for over 4 years and all was good until I was told that straightalk will not allow to their customers to tether. They just lost my services, as soon as my month is up I will change carriers to boost mobile which is cheaper and allows to tether. Bye bye straightalk, you have until the end of January 2016 to fix this censorship of my device, my phone and I will use it as I please. And yeah other people will hear about it, thank god for social media. U have till end of Jan In the meantime I will be sharing this fact.

Walmart didn't scan this alcatel onetouch TLi020F2 so i can i get it registered. it was a present so there is no receipt

This phone was bought for a friend of mine from an ex as an early Christmas present she didn't want it so she sold it to me cheap. i get my Alcatel onetouch TLi020F2 home and call straighttalk to register it then they said it didn't get scanned so they couldn't register it.

i talked to the cop who bought her the phone and he paid for it but didn't keep receipt. just need someone to helpe get it registered!!!'

Cell phone "deactivation" through Straight Talk

On December 20, 2015, I tried to use my cell phone to call for a taxi. My call failed and I got a recorded message that my phone had been deactivated--even though I had paid my bill in full two weeks before. I had to provide a different credit card to get my phone activated again. I wrote Straight Talk the next week asking for an explanation of what happened. They just sent me a text saying that they couldn't get in touch with me and that I should call them to discuss the issue. They added the volume of letters they receive precludes them from responding in writing.
