Straight Talk Wireless review: Update on previous post....Not Right

ok...I have to update this situation that I posted.....I finally gave in and activated the so called replacement phone they sent me.( by the way no front camera even) well...sure enough 3 days later the volume does not work. I slammed the dang phone and it is now in pieces. I went to prepaid Verizon with the moto g phone and I am thankful...so very thankful to have to never deal with straight talk again. Yes I will have to pay a little extra for data but by the time I have to replace a phone, deal with straight talk customer service and all the problems I have had it is worth every penny... Good Luck to all you straight talk people. I am over it !!!

Straight Talk Wireless review: It overheats and cuts off.

I have to strap it to the front of a fan for it to run continuously. It is supposed to be a mobile device, but I can't use it on the patio or picnic table or anywhere that is not air-conditioned. That includes my car when I am not running the air conditioner. I had a wifi device from Verizon (on contract) and it did not have a problem like this. I am taking it back to Walmart to see if they will exchange it for another. I hope this is not a problem with all these units. It gets hot to the touch, not too hot to hold.

Straight Talk Wireless review: No Service and No help from Straight Talk!

My husband has been on straight talk for almost 4 years and has never had an issue with his phone until he purchased the ZTE 2796C. For the last month we have called the service department which we found out today is in Honduras, trying to resolve the issue, but every time we have called they send him through a series of trouble shooting that has not worked, and ultimately told that the problem was with the phone, and that he would have to call back and talk to someone else to verify that Verizon was not having issues with their towers that could be interrupting his service. We have talked to 11 different people, and 3 said that they were supervisors. They have agreed to finally send him a new phone, however we have to send his back first, and once they receive it, they will verify that there is an issue with the phone and send him a new one. This is crazy. He has gone all month dealing with lost calls, missed messages, and spotty service. It has been a major run around going nowhere. They were supposed to send us directions on how to send his phone back, which we still haven't received, and will probably have to call again tomorrow. He has had the phone for 4 months now, and they wont give him is money back because it has been over 30 days, and quite frankly at this point I would rather just cut my loses and go with a different carrier.

Straight Talk Wireless review in Sierra Vista, Arizona: Straight talk year plan data speeds...

Don't bother saving some money with the year plan with Straight talk. Their current system only allows for your 3G speeds to last until you add another service plan (month card). So instead of having 3GB of 3G speeds a month you have 3GB for the year... That's a big difference. The only way to fix this problem is once a month call them and have them deactivate and reactivate your phone.... The process takes about 30 minutes to an hour to do. Save yourself some time and trouble and just do the $45 monthly plan and have auto refill.

I called to ask how to purchase more data for my phone and she said the only way is to refill your account again or wait until your service end date. This service SUCKS. I finally got someone who knew what she was doing cause after 2 months I'm finally able to send a MMS.

Ok! I read some reviews on straight Talk, and I'm telling ya!! I did not want to become a Straight Talk user, but the iphone 4s I purchased had already came with the activation card so I went a head and gave it a shot. I'm sorry for the other users have had some problems with their phones and customer service, but im telling you it was the easiest phone that I had ever had to set up it only took me 10 minuets. The next day I was unable to get on the internet...."probably my fault" so I had called customer service "that I was dreading remind you because of all the reviews I had read" NOTHING BUT AWESOME" customer service, fixed the problem in minuets and that was it.....DONE. If I can give you any advice do what I did, and give it a shot. SO SO HAPPY that I switched to Straight Talk......Thank you for your time hope this helps you to not make a mistake and change over to Straight Talk.

BOUGHT PHONE AND PAID A MONTH SERVICE. SET IT UP TO BE AUTOMATICALLY PAID FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH SO I HAVE CONTINUOUS SERVICE. AFTER MANY CALLS TO INDIA IT FINALLY GOT ACTIVATED. DIFFICULT COMMUNICATION, AFTER 31 DAYS THEY DISCONNECTED MY PHONE (EVEN THOUGH I HAD DONE THE PAPERWORK TO HAVE IT AUTOMATICALLY PAID EVERY MONTH. NEVER NOTIFIED ME OF A PROBLEM, NO EMAIL , NOTHING. I CALLED THEM THE SAME DAY I LOST SERVICE. THEY HAD ALREADY RETURNED MY PHONE NUMBER (i'VE HAD IT 10 YRS). THEY CLAIM THEY COULDN'T EMAIL ME CAUSE THEY HAD RECORDED THE WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS. THEY HAD MY PHONE NUMBER THEY COULD HAVE CALLED INSTEAD OF JUST SHUTTING IT OFF IT TOOK 2 HOURS WITH SOMEBODY IN INDIA TO GET IT REACTIVED WITH A NEW NUMBER AND 2 DAYS LATER I LOST THE DATA AND SPENT ANOTHER HOUR GETTING IT BACK. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE CANCELLED THE SERVICE AND WENT BACK TO A REALIABLE CARRIER.

HI, I SEE THAT YOU TOO HAVE THE PROBLEM WHERE ALL STRAIGHT TALK CALLS ARE SO LOW THAT YOU HAVE TO YELL EVERYTHING AND FOR SOME REASON THAT MAKES YOU TYPE EVERYTHING IN ALL CAPS. DO YOU KNOW OF A WAY TO MAKE THIS GO AWAY BESIDES GETTING RID OF MY STRAIGHT TALK PHONE?

I WOULD GET RID OF IT BUT I PREFER A CARRIER THAT GOES AND AHEAD AND CANCELS MY PLAN RANDOMLY.

IF THEY DIDN'T DO THAT I WOULD NEVER STOP TALKING. J/K LOL.

I live out in the country so I ask more than once if the phone I was going to order was on Verizon towers, I was told yes more than once, again I ask they said yes.Got the phone and guess what its not Verizon towers so their for don't work.Ask them to make it right, no they would not.i was told a lie said they diden have that phone on Verizon towers when the other lady told me they did.wow so I sent the phone back and got me one with Verizon prepaid.I would not advice anyone to go with straight talk.They are so high on the horse they dont care about you anymore.Had been with them a long time bad to find out how they really feel about you.
