Straight Talk Wireless - Review from Roseville, California

My son purchased a straight talk phone had problems connecting to the internet after a month. Three days later after I just added $45 for another months service , he bought a new phone becuz of the internet issue -- that phone don't work--- purchased another phone same issue-- now I learn we can't transfer the minutes that we purchased over to the new phone. Straight talk owes me $90.

Straight Talk Wireless in Schaumburg, Illinois - Text Messaging Not Working - Unbelievably Horrible Customer Service! 13 Days & Counting!

I have not been able to receive text messages since Monday, June 30th (Today is July 12). I have called customer support numerous time, spoken with both the customer representatives and the "supervisor department." I have totaled more than 8 hours on the phone with them trying to resolve the problem. I have also been in contact with customer service via email for 5 days now and am just getting the run around. They continue to ask for my phone number - which I have given them multiple times - and tell me to call customer service. I have even been told that Straight Talk does not allow us to speak with their tech support. I was also told (via email) that customer support spoke with me two afternoons ago. They also noted the time and that I told them that I do not have an alternate phone - also completely fabricated. We never spoke. I was at work all day and I did not receive a call from them. So far, per their instructions, I have: -Turned my phone on and off (multiple times) -Removed the battery (multiple times) -Checked my APN settings (multiple times) -Taken the phone back to factory settings I am continuously told that because I can receive text messages from myself that there is not a problem with my phone or the service. Seriously, they're like a broken record, like saying it over and over will somehow make my text messaging just start working The phone is less than a year old. Something seems to be wrong with the service as the phone is otherwise functioning normally. Now I will have to purchase a new phone and plan with another company (something I really can't afford to do at this time). I have never before experienced such horrible customer service.

We have the same issue with one of our Straight Talk phones on the Verizon towers. Verizon keeps kicking up off their towers and we can't receive text messages. This is a phone for a teen so it's basically useless.

Straight Talk Wireless in San Jose, California - Horrible Customer Service

After 8 chat sessions, talking to 9 customer service agents on the phone and purchasing 2 SIM activation kits I am still unable to get my service setup. They are shipping me a new SIM card today but I just saw from the confirmation that they sent out the wrong type. After talking to FOUR more agents, I cannot get them to ship the correct one until I receive the wrong one and read them the serial number. The customer service agents at Straight Talk ARE THE WORST I've ever encountered. They are slow, do not speak English very well and quite often just "drop" the call.

Straight Talk Wireless - Fraudulent behavior

I purchased their $60 UNLIMITED domestic and international calling service for mobile phones. I spoke with 3 different representatives, all of whom spoke english really poorly, who specifically asked me where I would be calling to make sure that their service covered the country to which calls would be made (Israel). All 3 reps whom I spoke to before purchasing the plan, plus an additional one that I spoke to when calls wouldn't go through, assured me that calls to Israel were covered by the plan. Today I was told by a supervisor named Ray, representative #45466, that Israel was NOT covered and that I would have to pay an additional $10 to make calls to Israel. Nowhere on their website, nor in telephone conversations, was this ever stated. On the contrary, I chose to sign up by phone and not over the internet, in order to ascertain that there would be no problem in calling Israel. This company is a scam. Both their advertising and their website are fraudulent and their representatives give incorrect information. I have spent half of my vacation on the phone with them, being passed from one rep to another, all without addressing my issue. I would recommend STAYING AWAY from this company. I hope to bring suit against them legally.

My phone won't let my brother get my calls or messages. It'll send but he won't get them.

He can call me, and other people.

I can also call other people. Pretty *** up for a phone and service I spend 250 on.
