I have a zte whirl straight talk phone every day in the morning my screen will go completely black but everything else works. Im having to take the back off my phone an take the battery out an put it back in so it will work again. Its everyday it does this. Its *** me off

Straight Talk Wireless - Phone Service Review

Ive just been with staighttalk for a couple of weeks amd I hate it the data is slow cant download apps it tells me not enough memorie the phones a piece of *** and I want my money back so I can get a decent phone I will never get a phone thru them again and want my money back for my minutes too 45.00 and im making sure I let my friends and family know not to use them im going to file with the bbb and if I dont get my money back ill sue you all and costomer service sucks as well my phne number is 3526028173 im not happy at all with this service and fell that my time and money was wasted you should all be terminated

I had multiple phone lines with straighttalk, I had then on automatic refill. I call in a couple of months ago to remove them from automatic refill after opting for a different cell phone provider. I was told that the lines were taken off the automatic refill option...

First, learn to type while turning off the caps lock. I realize you are mad, but it's really annoying.

I had a similar problem.

My issue was they ported the wrong number from my family plan, and instead of my brother getting ported, my number did. took 10 days to get my number back. They kept saying the number was just 'gone'. I had contract language read to me, had managers just transfer me back to the general 800 #, after 7 days and all the notes, had one manager that told me the number was never ported (which was a total fabrication).

They will do whatever it takes to get you to give up.

After 10 days and literally probably 12 hours on the phone I finally got it back. I had given up. I can't give to many details per the request of my current carrier, but my carrier that I still had a family plan on finally got ti back for me. All I can say is they had to go through AT&T, who I believe owns Straight Talk.

You will never win with Straight Talk. They just simply will not let you through past their "port department" and I suspect their systems are not set up to allow the recovery of the phone number so they really can't do it ...but they absolutely will not allow you to talk to anyone beyond their leve1 support. We all know the numbers can be recovered...they just won't do it. But I did get it back....

I did file a complaint with the FCC's website.

The issue was resolved the next day so I filed another complaint with the FCC letting them know it was resolved (could not cancel the original). However, 10 days later I just got a call from Straight Talk about the complaint so they do get through. I had letters written to the BBB, FCC FTC and Straight Talk corporate (which I pulled from the mail because it got resolved the morning I was mailing them).

I even told them I was going to file complaints but based on the level of support that I was talking to , they really didn't care. all I'm saying is they are not being truthful....a "lost" or "cancelled" number can be recovered, they just won't do it unless you apparently get someone else involved.

Straight Talk Wireless review in Columbia, South Carolina: Straight Talk Ripped Me Off Too

I purchased a BYOP activation kit from Wal Mart, for $64.67. When my son tried to transfer from Verizon to Straight Talk, we were put through the ringer. We had been online and provided the info that they ask for, to determine compatibility and eligibility, of his phone. Everything checked out fine so, we bought the kit. He went online to initiate the process, establish an account, did everything that they ask, and submitted the request. When it did not go through, he tried again and was told that his activation number had been used and he needed to purchase another sim card to activate. I, then, spent two hours on the phone trying to convince a rep to make this right only to have her tell me over and over that his phone was "ineligible" for transfer. She finally initiated the procedure, which ported his number and disconnected his service from Verizon but, never gave him service with Straight Talk. Though service was never active, his online account showed that there were,only 24 hrs of service left and he would need to purchase another access card! I got on the phone, the next day, and got more run-around. The person that I spoke to, this time, wanted us to wait for two days for them to send another sim card. This was not an option so, I asked them to connect, using CDMA. This failed, too! The representative insisted that his phone would not work with their network, because their signal was is weak in our area and the solution would be to purchase one of their phones. We decided to go back to our, original, carrier. Now, Straight Talk and Wal Mart are refusing us a refund, on the "technicality" that the kit has been activated, and not eligible for a refund!!!! We never got "ONE" min of service we feel like our money was taken. Shouldn't activation be the point at which one, actually, has service?

And our bills will shoot up, no thanks, if I wanted that I would stay with Verizon. By the way, you should buy a cdma phone from straight talk if you want good tower coverage, it's verizon's.

Straight Talk Wireless review: No protection against cell phone theft

I will never recommend straightalk to anybody as the company does not protect its customers from cell phone identity theft or some sort of scam the company has not addressed. My phone account, cell phone number and personal information were stolen through this company, probably an inside job. After many complaints to the company and no action, Corporate told me that it is out of their hands. When you pay a service, you trust the company with your personal information. That information is private, and they have to protect it. Now I feel vulnerable and violated thanks to straighttalk. I live my life checking my credit and obsessed with the idea that there is someone out there with my personal information because the company's carelessness and, in my view, they are part of some sort of scam. I am not the only straightalk customer that has experienced this horrible and terrifying situation, and in my opinion, it is not worth it.
