I truly understands fully what everyone is saying. My phone number has been stolen not once but twice within a two month span.

When I talk to an rep. they give me the run around. Both men were arguing with me to say that I had transferred my number to another phone. Okay !!!!!!

If that was the case, why would I waste my time being on the phone with you, at this point, over 2 hours. COME ON NOW LETS GET REAL ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!! Then I have one to tell me the reason my phone was off because I needed to activate it. WOW!!!!!!!

When I asked was there any program in place to keep this from happening, he say yes your security question.

WELL I'M HERE TO TELL YOU THE SECURITY QUESTION DOESN'T MEAN A THING. THEY CAN STEAL YOUR NUMBER.I work too hard for my money and I have to have an active number due to sick and family.

IF WE ALL GET TOGETHER WITH THESE COMPLAINTS, MAYBE THEY WILL FIX THIS ISSUE. :( :( :( :(

Taking Phone Numbers for no reason

This has happened to me, my father-n-law, my uncle, and a few of my friends.. Just out of the blue (in the middle of service), changing phones, or activating a new sims card, Straight talk takes our numbers away..? They ask if we wanna keep our same number and tell them yes, but when everything is done, we have a new number.. A friend of mine still had two weeks of service left on her phone and went to make a call, and had a new number?? My uncle went to add time on his phone after just 1 day of being out of time, and they changed his number. My father-n-law had to have a new sim card, I called to have it activated for him and they asked, "same number?" I told them yes and then he had soo much trouble getting his phone reactivated with the same number... And its a business line!!! I got on the phone with straight talk manager and they wouldnt do nothin to help.. I told her they was about to lose 4+ customers, and she says "I cant help that"... Now, I am not a business owner, but I know with a business, your supposed to try to keep your customers satisfied and keep them from wanting to go to a different company, right? Im done with straight talk.. I would rather spend an extra $5 a mth for verizon or at&t for unlimited everything, not worry about losing my number, and know that im being treated right!!

Straight Talk is a joke.

Ordered 2 phones and 2 service cards. They arrived quickly. Activated both phones online. Here is where it goes downhill. My phone doesn't work. I called and talked to several people in Columbia, Guatemala and other places. I asked, its really those places. The people are all very hard to understand, sounds like you are calling India. After being disconnected several times and entering 17 codes into the phone it works. It only took 4+ hours of time. My wifes phone does not. They couldn't get hers working so they sent out a new SIM. 5 days later no SIM. I called again and they had no record of having to send out a SIM. Of course there is no record. Several hang-ups later her phone still doesn't work. They can't overnight a SIM or get the phone working so I just said screw it and cancelled the second phone with them and I am going to T-mobile or somewhere else right now. Straight Talk is a joke and it is way too frustrating to recommend to another living being.

My wifes Sim Card never showed and they transferred the monthly plan to my account. She then went with T-Mobile.

When my first month ended and the credit from my wifes account was supposed to kick in it didn't. I went to T-Mobile and the Straight Talk phones are on eBay.

Strraight Talk Lied and still havent sent my package!!!!!!!

Hi my name is David Gilbert, and i am sorry i have to bother you all with my problem. I recently switched over to straight talk from another company. I am a disabled veteran, and i am on a fixed income. I ordered a phone off of straight talk website and the first day i had it it froze. I was told it would take a couple days to get a new one which turned into 2 weeks. I couldnt wait two weeks so i just bought another phone which was from t mobile. I then ordered a t mobile compatible sim card from the straight talk website so i could use my new phone. I paid the overnight fee of $14.95 to get my sim card right away. I ordered it at 12:47 am on may 9 2012. My total was $32.02 with the sim card and the overnite shipping fee. My order number is 466**** and my email address is davidwayne1976@***.com. I still dont know where my package is. I called straight talk customer service for 2 days now and have gotten hung up on and told 10 different stories. I have never been treated so rude and disrespectful in my whole life. I honestly think i was treated bettter overseas. They also disrespected my fiance. I was also told that my payment was being reviewed when my card has already been charged and taken off my card. I dont believe i should be treated this way. Here it is 2 days later and my package is still at your warehouse and noone knows why. My phone number is 234 201 ****. Hope fully someone who cares about their company will give me a call ASAP. Thank you!!!!

Straight talk is bad to buy from

April 23 at 12:07 pm i ordered a 45$ "unlimted" service plan online . The ad said " get free overnight shipping and a free phone . Order before 3pm for overnight shipping .The phone got here April 25 at 2 pm . Not overnight , but worse it can not be activated because it has no SIM card .When i called customer service they were rude to me , could barely speak english and i was told if i return the phone , im out 47.97 $. no refunds ! What a scam .Because i used the words "*** SIM card " one person said i was abusive and hung up on me ! They are very bad to customers who have done no wrong . Dont be taken like i was . I am 60 and disabled so i do not have money to give to scams .

Totally agree with you. I bought three phones and all were duds.

I foortunately was able to exchange them. The last phine i bought was the samsung galaxy. It has worked fine for the first 6 months but now heats ralidly (I wonder why%/#!@=#.LoL). It also wont hold a charge and freezes up frequently.

I also have to turn the phophone off to get a decent charge. It is clear that while the convenience of going the prepaid route is a great deal the quality of the phones are clearly defective. With these stories being so prevalent and frequent it is obvious that Walmart has concocted a deal with these phone makers to purchase items that are marked irregular at best. I strongly believe Walmart should be investigated for this issue and should be made(you would think that this monopulous giant would do so voluntarily and try to look caring to its millions of customers who allow it to thrive, while they treat their own employees horribly * rant for another time) Its as if they know the odds of these poorly engineered phones have a short lived capacity.

Im in favor of a lawsuit against this ungrateful monopoly. "DON'T TREAD ON ME!"

Worthless Customer Service

Update by user May 14, 2012

I demanded the phone number and/or email contact for ST\'s corporate HQ in Florida. After a number of calls, and receipt of email assuring me they would solve the problems I was having...my original complaint was resolved.

I informed their HQ Management they have a \"Public Relations\" nightmare on their hands, and they agreed, saying they were doing all they can to correct it.

I now have another issue with the gray \"Lock\" icon that pops up every 5 seconds or so and won\'t go away.

I\'m posting another complaint about that. Knightsix

Bought a ST Samsung Galaxy SCH-M828 w/Android OS. Battery overheats during recharge & stops communicating with OS, hence error msg that 'battery is not correct' or similar. Was able to return phone to Walmart as hadn't had it for more than the 14 day return policy. Walmart gave me exact phone as replacement, and had same problem, but ignored it and phone eventually settled down. ST was worthless in attempting to correct this problem. Referred me to Samsung, who explained the issue, but bad on Samsung, they know about this battery issue but do nothing about it. Now, ref. ST. I have never in the 65 years I've breathed air on planet Earth experienced such horrible cust. svc in my lifetime. As former military, I have no problem understanding the 'outsourced' cultures that populate their cust svc centers, BUT - they are uneducated, can only follow a script, and believe that continuing to state, "I apologize" will in some mysterious manner assuage the degree of anger any caller may have in dealing with them. All they can do is escalate the call to a supposed higher level of service, which is simply a higher level of incompetence. I have demanded a number of times to speak to their Corporate HQ in Florida and was given the number. You guessed it...the same outsourced culture, but supposedly in Florida. I was told outright by their Management that they were aware of the Cust Svc issues and were working to correct them. Not from where I sit, they aren't. 1) On 'Auto Refill' but phone svc was turned off anyway. ST Cust Svc Rep, told me he fixed problem. He actually cancelled my service and re-set me with new phone number - all without telling me he did that. Took hours over a period of four days, numerous calls to their Florida HQ demanding my number back, them telling me I had to wait 24 hours (2x), then another manager telling me I had to now wait for 48 hours. I refused any more stalls, and demanded they fix the problem and return my number due to illegal action of their Cust Svc dept. That call resulted in getting my original number back, and they did give me a credit of one week's free service. 2) Set up again for "Auto Refill" - system DID NOT refill my service - so here we go again. Called - was told all OK, service would automatically bill. NO, it didn't. I had to manually pay, then set up the Auto Refill feature myself, and confirmed it was done. Looked it up this morning and did it again - NO Auto Refill. They truly have a screwed up on-line system and that needs to be corrected as well. Conclusion: The entire concept of ST has merit. Frankly, they offer a better deal out there than any of the big-box phone providers. BUT - ALL OF THEM have outsourced their Cust Svc, to the detriment of their good names. People from other cultures, despite the fact they speak a form of English, do not live in the U.S. and don't have a good grasp of day-do-day culture here and how to deal with us. Moreover, their training is inadequate and woefully incomplete. ST needs to take a hard look at how their Cust Svc department is being managed. My education is in Business and Management... I would personally fire the entire management staff and start over.

Did you get on the wrong page? I'm happy for you and your kumbiyah telly, but the problems and so-called customer service I encountered as a result warrant verbiage I'm not permitted to use here.

Customer Service is the Worst

Straight Talk has the worst customer service. I guess when you want to save money, you have to give up decent help too. I bought a $179.99 phone and have been trying to transfer my number over to it for over a month now. The customer service has just be very unhelpful. I have to spend 20 minutes on hold and spent 10 minutes explaining my issue with a rep every time I call their customer service. I get someone that I can't understand what they are saying and they just tell me things that don't fix my problem. Now that the online account says my number has transferred to my new phone, it doesn't work! Sometimes I get someone on their Facebook page, but usually they just tell people to "submit a support ticket" so they don't have to deal with it. Terrible service!

Dont buy a Straight Talk Phone Online

I purchased a Straight Talk phone from Walmart a few months ago and was pleased with everything except the keypad. Checked 2 Walmarts, they didnt sell what I needed so I went online and purchased a different phone (approx. Jan 25, 2012). Love it, worked beautifully about 48 hrs. All of a sudden, no service (Jan 31, 2012). Called them, long story short, wrong SIM Card. I was told a new SIM card would be Fed Ex'd. Called back (Feb 4, 2012) was promised new SIM Card by Feb 7, 2012. Guess what, today is Feb 9, 2012. I dont have a new SIM card, nor has it been shipped. As I'm writing this, I'm on the phone with the upteenth representative. In closing, AT&T ripped me off monthly but their service was flawless. I may be forced to go back. Pls keep this in mind before you go w/a Straight Talk phone/plan.
