Trying to add a phone to my account
Another fun encounter with their customer service. I tried to add a device to my account online.
Could not get it to work. They tried to add it, but only succeeded in removing the one phone that was in that (online) account! They have promised that it will show up in "24 hours". Do I believe them?
Not on my life!!
Every interaction I have ever had with customer service is enough to make me have a stroke. I love the wireless service, but HATE their customer service, which is the worst for any company I have ever called in my life (and I am old!).
I got 2 words for ST.......SUCK IT!

S3 OS upgrade not allowed by Straighttalk
Straighttalk will not allow anyone to update the phone with the newest software. Straighttalk says go to Samsung and Samsung says it is Straighttalk. A new $300 phone and cannot get latest security fix. WHAT A RIP OFF.
This is the blog that shows how they answer the complaints. It is most always check your mail for a personal message. And the msg is to call them. they they say sorry cannot help you as we do not update phones. If this is the case, and it appears to be, then they need to state this on the box so buyer will know.

Straight Talk Wireless - Poor Customer Service Review
I have used Straight Talk for a few years now and love the service, but their customer service SUCKS. In the last thirty days I have had my data throttled before reaching the limit of 3g (which is a joke anyway), my data has been disconnected before reaching said limit, they failed to process my payment when I submitted it online, and now that my service is restored, my text messaging does not work.
I have spoken with six different agents this week, one of whom yelled at me, and two who hung up on me. The only "assistance" I receive is APN settings and to turn my phone off and back on. This never works. Several agents told me to perform a hard reset on my phone, which I did not want to do.
I performed a backup and restore, but it bootlooped so long (overnight) that the only way out of it was to perform a hard reset. I lost all of my settings and apps and...you guessed it: I still don't have text messaging. After spending forty five on the phone with an agent who first claimed to be a supervisor, then pretended to be waiting for a supervisor to take my call, I had to end the call.
I will not be recommending this company to anyone in the future. Ever.
