Straight Talk Wireless in Mineola, Texas - Worst company in the world!!!!

Where does one start? Bought two phones. Lets call them A and B. A and B arrived. Talked to ***, who activated our phones, but gave phone A new number and provided us with t-mobile, which does not work where we live. Had to wait for new SIM card for A, so was unable to use A for a week. B worked but only where t-mobile could be received. ***, Jr. sent three SIM cards. We were able to get both phones on AT&T and they worked, but B could not be understood by person you called. ***, III told us we would receive new touch screen phone and B could be returned. Phone replacement never sent. Next call we talked with ***, IV who said we would only receive a shipping label for B and could not receive another phone until they received B. I think we have had it with straight talk. The lesson is don't ever deal with Straight Talk unless you want to become ***, V.

A and B? One for each drug you are selling?

Not buying it, chico. Hope that helps!

Contract companies have a way of billing a customer if they don't return a defective phone, Straight Talk does not. That is why their policy is to return the defective phone first.

Straight Talk Wireless - Service Shut Off After 5yrs?

I have no idea why my Straight Talk ran my auto refill two days early? Today I woke up to no service? I am disabled so it is no surprise that if you run a card through at the end of the month, there will prob not be $ in that account! It has always been set up for the 3rd ( I had to pull all bank statements to make sure ) I have tried to contact through the online and each time they type the same thing? I have to go to WalMart now, and set this up again? Happy New Year....after 5yrs of service! My bank would not allow that to be run through early (it looks suspicious).

It is impossible that it has always billed on the 3rd. Cards are good for 30 days, not a full month. Since some months have 31 days and one has 28, your due date will and has always changed.

@JS

I have the bank statements over the course of the past five years and it is always on the 3rd or 4th of each month.

@val

In Dec it went through on the 3rd, then they "tried" again on the 30th? I thought it was actually fraud, until I picked up my phone? :upset :upset

Straight Talk Wireless - Straight Talk is unable to provide a local cell phone number

I ordered a Sim Card and Service Plan Pin online for Straight Talk's Bring your own Phone plan. Despite repeated attempts at procuring a local phone number, they were unable to give me one. I live in the 931 area code and the only numbers they could provide me with were in the 615 area code. They claim to have access to the largest network of towers, combining the coverage of Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. I figured with all that coverage, surely they would own local phone numbers in my zip code with good 3G/4G coverage. It turns out I was wrong. They think they can provide me with a local number if they give me a new AT&T Sim Card and give me a number owned by AT&T. However, if your number is owned by one company, you are limited to using the towers specific to that company only. So with an AT&T number there would be no access to Verizon, Sprint, or T-Mobile towers. The problem is that the AT&T coverage/service area is really bad in the area of the county that I live in. (I live a bit out in the country) The T-Mobile coverage, Verizon Coverage and Sprint coverage are all good in this little part of the country. However, AT&T is really non-existant. So, basically, I would only be able to use my phone if I were in town. What if I were running errands in my little local village? No one would be able to reach me. And if my husband is at work on the home phone (he is a telecommuter and our home phone number is also his work number), then my daughter cannot reach me from school. I have to be able to be reached in an emergency...that is the reason I have the darn phone in the first place. So with Straight Talk unable to give me a local number---this after over 5 hours and 20+ phone calls later--I requested a refund. I was told this was not possible. I asked repeated times for a manager and was told there was not one. Finally, I got really angry and told the rep I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau or google the home office and call them. She directed me to a "hotline" for problem resolution. That rep was incredibly rude and refused to even entertain the idea of a refund as it was against company policy. When I insisted to speak to his manager, he hung up on me. I then went online and filed a complaint with the south Florida BBB. Straight Talk is owned by Tracfone. The home office is in Miami, Florida. Address: 9700 NW 112th Ave. Miami, FL 33178 1-877-430-2355 (but this number is only cust svc and won't help you.) Try this number: 1-800-876-5753 x 6175 If still getting no results, go online to www.bbb.org and enter the zip code 33178 to be directed to the appropriate department and file a complaint against them. Supposedly, a representative from the home office will call you and help to resolve your problem.

Straight Talk Wireless in Chesterfield, Missouri - Reset minutes and text messages

On the day my service ended I usually get a card before midnight. However today Straight Talk reset my info to zero. When I called the customer service number all they could do was repeat info I already knew and when I asked for technical support I was supposedly transferred to a supervisor. Both of them were incompetent on everything. All they did was repeat themselves and say they couldn't reset info and there was nothing they could do. Both counts are false. In the last several months my phone has been reset numerous times voice-mails erased and they can add minutes and text messages when they screw up. This is a incompetent company that outsources reps so you can understand them anyway and the training is a joke they don't know anything. And they kept me on dead silence for about 3-5 minutes and never did come back on the line. It's like they were just transferring between cubicles and not even trying to help. This is supposed to be a good alternative to Verizon or companies like that. You spend more time losing then gaining with this company. They are ridiculous and have no understanding of customer service. In short they suck, big time.

Straight Talk Wireless in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Breach of confidentiality

I was checking service end dates today for my 3 Straight Talk phones and accidentally entered my step-son's number (which is close to my husband's and in no way linked to my online account), but I was able to view his info. I wasn't able to see any personal information on the account, but I was able to access that much. Since my step-son's phone had been linked to my account at one time, I decided to try 4 other numbers of people I know who have Straight Talk. Their numbers have never been associated with my account ever, but was able to see their information as well. I wasn't able to view credit card numbers or anything private other than service end dates, but what about someone who knows how to manipulate the webpage further? No harm had been caused by my realizing this, but what are the possibilities??? Many complaints on here are about service interruption, disappearing airtime, etc. But, hey, all of you who read this, Straight Talk assured me the accounts are secure and that someone would need proper credentials to access information. REALLY??? I shouldn't have been able to see that much, period. How does that require having credentials? I only entered the phone number.

Straight Talk Wireless in Blair, Nebraska - My new phone doesnt work properly

I have been trying for 4 months to get a working phone from straight talk. They continue to send me the same phone over and over as a replacement. This last time they told me they would be sending a different phone since they have been sending me new phones every month for three months. SO when this phone came in today and it was the same phone I called thinking it wa a mistake. Both NO it wasnt. I spend approxiamtly 5 hours every two weeks on the phone with this company. I spent 4.5 hours on the phone with them today and they are suppose to return my call on Monday (we will see) to rectify the situation. That is the type of customer service you can expect from straight talk. and it sounds like I am one of the lucky ones that has made some head way with this company. But when you do call them make sure to not only get the persons name get their id number as well otherwise they will just tell you over and over there is no way they can verify anything because they cant track down who you talked to since apparently they dont make any sort of notes on your account. Even though they demand your phone number and name every time you talk to them even if you were directly transfered over from one of their other reps. Do yourself a favor and just stay away from this company save yourself some trouble! I have wrote to the corporate office again today and while I dont expect it to do any good I continue to try since I have money and time tied up in the company. I did however make a promise to the supervisor on the phone that I would be telling everyone I can about how I have been treated and how I keep getting brushed off. so here I am writing this review and finding every site I can to review also. I would love to hear about your experiences with straight talk. Lets get verbal and stop allowing them to treat us this way!

They put my husband's number on my phone and gave my number away. I was able to access my voicemail by dialing my number and using my passcode, but periodically I the woman with my number would answer the phone. I've spoken with her!

I made endless calls for weeks before it was straightened out. I fought so hard because 1) I was still accessing my own voicemail so I knew it was still my number and 2) I had that number for 12 years. I wasn't about to let it go easily.

That happened last year about this time with the BYOP. We switched to other companies but the plans didn't work with us. (The kids stayed with it for the data. They love it.) Now we're back with Straight Talk phones and everything is fine.

Customer service is more than frustrating though if/when you need to call them.
