Customer service representatives don't understand English. | Straight Talk Wireless review from Atlanta, Georgia

I've had a straight talk phone for over 5+ years now. Although I feel satisfied with the phone service and performance itself, it's the customer service reps. that are frustrating. I dread having to call and update information or request assistance or have a billing issue. Never have I had results in less than two hours and multiple call backs. They do not relay information when you're on to the next rep. It has to be explained over and over again. And, each rep. has a different resolve. when they take duplicate payments on account, it's like twisting an arm to be credited. If you love a challenge and enjoy being frustrated and dissatisfied with phone service, call straight talk customer service. They are sure to please in that area.

Phone cut off before time exporation | Straight Talk Wireless review from Leeds, Alabama

I usually buy the 30 dollar 1000 minute plan. Further, I always set my phone call timer to 00:00:00 hrs.so as to keep an account of my time usage. For the last 6-8 months straight talk has cut my phone off about 2 hours before my time is expired. When you call to explain the service malfunction you always have to talk to a service rep., 2 supervisors and a manager for about an hour or more. As of late they refuse to correct the problem. My wife had the same thing happen to her with straight talk refusing to correct the problem. I sure that we are not the only ones experiencing this problem...Lets assume 4 million customers at 2 hrs per month that's 8 million dollars per month times 12 months that's 96 million a year. I'm no accusing straight talk management of this per se...but it does give you something to watch and think about.

Rude representatives, not helpful at all | Straight Talk Wireless review from Knox, Indiana

I have called Straight Talk for a week, every day, at the same time, I have been treated rudely, even by supervisors. My question was about why my data was slowed, the supervisor I spoke with today, confirmed that my data has been slowed, but did not give a reason as to why. I asked about transferring to a closer cell tower, and she confirmed there was one; however, she said it was not needed and that I was just, "experiencing slow data speeds, and I needed to just wait for the page to load". She then blamed my processor and basically called me incompetent. I am a programmer, with 7+ years experience. My processor is constantly monitored by a program that I made, and any process that isn't vital that is not in use doesn't get access to my processor. I will note that these are the overseas representatives, and they seem to get irritated as soon as they hear an American voice. So, the way I take it, Straight Talk is paying overseas representatives, who are not only rude, but racist. Don't support racism.

I have just had a similar experience. Both me and my husband cannot get on face book on twitter or other sites .

Web is extremely slow. I need the Web as I have a very small business.. I call them they get me to teck support say that my data limit has been decresed because I have went over my limit or have went against the terms and conditions.

Don't see how I went against them first of all and 2ND I thought It was unlimited data? I think they just don't want to fix any of Thier problems.

I just recently started the straight talks so called "Unlimited Plan" and with in two weeks i start realizing my brower service is reacting slow my music player wont allow any music to play so of course i call and ask why my services are being delayed not sure if my phone had caught a virius or not but apparently they said i had been streaming or downloading movies online ???? I explained to them how i only used my phone for calls an as my phone has mp3 capabilities i have been listening to my music from the mp3 i was informed i would recieve a notification an upon receiving this notifcation i would need to purschase another unlimited plan pin and services would be restored to unlimited services i explained that i had just activated the phone two weeks ago an it made no sense that an "unlimited" monthly service i had only used for two weeks should need to be purchased again the rep than went on to explain that i had probably exceeded my data usage i asked her how? And she said maam have you been streaming or downloading movies off the internet i said no i only use my mp3 player through the phone and access my phone calls she said you need to do that through the wifi you have used all your data useage for this month and in order for thier unlimited plan to work i should have been using wifi for the unlimited service to apply i than explained how they should have stated unlimited monthly service providing your using wifi an simply stating unlimited monthly service was false advertisement an i would no longer be using thier services nor will i ever recommend thier services to anyone

Nothing you have said in here is true or factual sorry... i use my phone to run my computer through tether...i stream pandoria...i watch youtube videos and on and on and on....if your using an m3p it has nothing to do with data...its playing songs off the phones hardrive...so them slowing or shuting off your data would do nothing to the mp3 player or speed...

now since somthing happend to your speed as you said this means you were infact using somone online streaming feature for music or movies....according to the TOS you agreed to when buying the phone they slow your data ussage down after a certain cap...but not stop it....FYI all companys do this...not just straight talk...then you called customer service and lied to the representative about how your data speeds were slowing down but you didnt use them....if you dont use them how do you know they are slowing down? hmm

TLDR your a liar that probably just put to much on your harddrive and it lagged your phone at...this issue had nothing to do with data...and you lying to customer service only worsened the issue rather then helping to get it fixed.

So '*** Talk' as I now affectionately call them once again shut my service off last night. This is the second time it's happened, so now I'm taking to the internet. Here's a bit of gold I'm sure many of you will love to have: do not call the straight talk number provided in the phone pamphlet. Call the Florida Tracfone headquarters: 800-867-7183 They own *** Talk, so they can answer your questions (however, neither number can seem to answer the age-old question "What is your data limit?" Go figure). They have been much more helpful by far than the regular number. They've turned my service back on easily, no questions asked, no lecture about "too much data", no threats about suspending my service... all of which I got to hear from their regular number. Oh, and they can speak and understand english fluently.

Straight Talk Wireless is nothing but a company full of thieves. Left with a broken phone and no options to get a new one.

I purchased a ZTE merit from them a little over a year ago and for the most part it worked. I had no trouble with straight talk or the phone itself. All of a sudden this past May, it stopped working. I called and they approved me for a replacement phone. They informed me that I had to send the broken phone back to them before they would send the replacement phone which is EXTREMELY inconvenient. I sent them the broken phone, waited for 7 days and the phone still hadn't arrived. I called and they didn't know where my phone was and couldn't give me a tracking number for my package so I could see where my replacement phone was. After arguing with them for 45 minutes I gave up. Finally after waiting another 7 days, the replacement phone showed up. When I opened it and first started using the phone, it seemed to work the way it was supposed to. I quickly realized that this phone was broken too. Half of the time the phone wouldn't even make calls. None of the apps I downloaded worked most of the time. I decided to ignore those problems with the phone simply because I didn't want to have to wait another two weeks for another replacement phone. Just a few days ago, the phone's screen went completely white. I can still receive calls but I can't see my screen at all. I called to inform straight talk about the problems I've been having with my phone. The woman I spoke to immediately approved me for a replacement phone. She took my shipping information and told me she'd send the shipping label to my email. I couldn't print out the label so I asked her to please send me a box that I could send the broken phone back to them in. She told me she would do it. The next day I checked my email and she sent me the label anyway. I called customer service to tell them again that I couldn't print out the shipping label. The man I spoke to informed me that the woman I spoke to did organize for a box to be sent to my house for the broken phone. He told me to just delete the email that contained the shipping label since a box was sent to my house. I deleted the email and waited for 3 days. When the box still hadn't arrived I called customer service again to see how much longer it would take. When a representative finally answered the phone, she informed me that there was no box being sent to my house. She had no idea what I was talking about because none of it was in their system. I was furious especially since I just paid them $45 for my monthly service plan. I argued with her for 30 minutes and I finally asked to speak to a manager. She refused to let me speak to a manager. I finally just told her to send another shipping label to my email and i'd take care of it myself. She took all of my shipping info again and told me she sent me the label. I hung up and immediately checked my email. The email I received didn't contain a shipping label. However it did contain a short note basically saying I had to wait 3-5 days for the shipping label. I was so angry. I called again to speak to yet another customer service representative. When I was connected to one, he didn't help me at all. He didn't seem to care and told me he would connect me to another department. I waited for 10 minutes and they hung up on me. I still have yet to receive a replacement phone or talk to a customer service rep that actually wants to help me. I'm warning you, DO NOT buy a phone from them. They'll put you in the same situation i'm in. They simply don't care if you're left without a phone. The customer service representatives don't even speak much English. None of the reps even seem to know what they're doing. The service is horrible. The phones are cheap. I have nothing nice to say about their company. They've done nothing but cause me stress and leave me without a working phone. I can't buy another one at this time & they refuse to help me anymore. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Straight Talk are a bunch of THEIVES! | Straight Talk Wireless review from Knox, Indiana

I HATE this company! They took my phone number and my remaining two weeks of service and gave them to someone else.Three days ago I find that my phone is not working when my husband calls my landline wanting to know why some man was answering my cell phone! Come to find out this guy had just tried to reactivate an old phone they gave him a new number but his minutes went to my phone instead. So when he called they told him the easiest thing to do was give him my number because it wasn't in use BUT HELLO I WAS USING IT since nov '11! To cut a long story short I spoke to at least 5 different people spent hours on the phone only to be told that my number was transferred without the proper authorization but the only way I could get my number and the remainder of my minutes was to fax them a receipt showing where I bought my phone from almost two years ago and the receipt where I had bought my minutes. So they admitted it was stolen but I have to prove it was mine when they stole it!! I will warn everyone I can about this company!! They are THIEVES!!!

No coverage for over a week??? | Straight Talk Wireless review from Ridgeland, Mississippi

My cell suddenly stopped receiving coverage 6 days ago. I first emailed the company...any of you that deal with them know this is so, so funny to try to talk with them, but, I understand I am not paying a premium so what should I expect, right? I any case, I emailed and said I have no coverage. I was emailed back and said a tower is down in my area( Jackson Ms) . They say wait 24 hours. Ok, I am willing to wait, I understand this happens, right? Day 2: still no coverage. I email again. Again told tower down, wait 24. On Day 3 I call. By now I had to scramble business and hard to scramble to make calls from various locations. I finally get the person, who I cannot understand, and am told the tower is down. Meanwhile, I have explored the Straightalk info online, and have come across a page that lists the model phone and the tower it correlates to. I have a Nokia E500 so that means AT&T is the tower that provides service....so I say to the person...none of my AT&T friends are having issues. He replies, well, ther are certain towers dedicated to Straighttalk in that area owned by AT&T. Rise towers are under repair. Now, this is Alice man, heis just reading the party line...and of course it's not possible that this tower is still out of service. W are in the Capitol city of the state of Mississiipi and you KNOW may people use Straighttalk here. So now I am really mad, and a friendi tells me, I have straight talk, your same phone and I have no issue at all and a ever had. I am on the7 th day of no coverage. I will be getting a new phone service. You may think you are getting off cheap with this company, but you aren't because you will pay one way or theo other. My ad vice? Get a reputable company, not AT&T obviously, and never, rev expect Straightalk to be of help.
