Could not activate phone. refused to give refund

bought the straight talk phone and activation card. was told phone would be activated within 48 hours. it was not. after several calls to customer service and hours of wasted time on phone went to wal-mart and got a refund on the phone but they would not give me the 30.00 refund on the card that was never used. terrible company with absolutely no customer service. I would never recommend this service to anyone. wal-mart is affiliated with the company but will not help the customer with any problems with the phone. I also lost my old phone # in the process.

Avoid StraightTalk

Save self from this menace of a company. Have 'em and dropping them, again. yes I said again, I must suffer from *** - I had ST for a couple of months a while back, purchased their android phone (my 1st smartphone) had questions and the non-english speaking customer service reps had virtually no helpful responses in hard to comprehend broken english. My calls were often dropped and when redialing the last call, was unable to dial out oddly I did have service. Other times "No service" did happen often and found if I removed battery it reset phone service BUT doing this 7-10 times a day is NUTS. Poor reception both outgoing (they cant really hear you) and incoming. I decided to reestablish my home landline then, realizing I needed cell for travel I restarted my straighttalk service. *** move on my part! Can't call out OFTEN and same old problems persist. That's it I am done, anyone want to buy my andrioid (Walmart) Straighttalk phone?

I purchased a straight talk phone about a month ago and did not hat the money at the time for the activation card, so when my boyfriend bought me the card tonight i called to activate my phone and they told me it was unable to be activated due to some problems at the register when i bought it so now im out over 100 for the phone and my boyfriend is out 50 for this *** card... STRAIGHT TALK SUCKS...dont ever purchase from them.... They are nothing but a piece of *** company *** artists that take you for every penny your worth...

Simply take the receipt and card back to the store to have it correctly activated. Just as you would with any other gift card from any store that might have a problem.

Straight Talk Wireless Worst Provider EVER

Customer service is VERY bad, can barely understand them every time I call. READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, unlimited has a limit and its NO STREAMING any media online or they will disconnect your phone. It's unlimited minutes and text (when it works) and unlimited web browsing. I was told by straight talk management I was able to stream about 10 minutes of YouTube per day without them turning off my phone. If you ever have a tech problem with your phone they will lead you to a menu option in the phone to update profile and if that doesn't work there is nothing they can do and you are stuck with no use of your phone. Honestly the price isn't that great, there are a lot of other pre-paid, contract free providers out right now. Don't get straight talk to just save $10 a month, they are a joke. Me and my wife are both unable to make or receive text and calls over 50% of the time and we have both been mistreated and ran in circles for about 2 months with them. Buyer Beware and good luck. REMEMBER READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS- Wich seems like the only place to find it is on their website. seems a little illegal to me, no contract, ive had 5 of their phones none of wich had a copy of these terms and conditions and everything on their $45 monthly plan says UNLIMITED all over it with no mention of not being able to stream (pandora, netflix, youtube, any streaming service)

yeah.. its definatly the worst service ive ever seen and used.

you will barely get 2 bars of unlimited data ....its speed isnt 4g either...at all 2019. time to close shop. if i knew how bad it was id never of bought it at all. stores that sell them really should take them off the shelf.

companys need to perfect their tech b4 mass production. its creating alot of tech garbage also every year newer better phone. HOW ABOUT you just take the time to read ahead of the make as much money as possible path and make the phone based on every 5-10 years plan working on how tech is quickly changing. after 10 years how much tech garbage still sits on shelves or landfills.

that 10 years was planned beforehand. 1 change in a feature yet same infrastructure of the phone and carriers little to no actual teamwork between companys and distrust. after i found out how bad straight talk is i snapped the simcard in 4 never turned the phone on again. im mad 100$ was completely wasted on false advertising coverage and speed.Nj.

my wife bought a android for my birthday august 5TH the inturnal memery fill"s up fast nothing goes to s.d.card they said they cold not help me.was not their problem after 15 days call straighttalk and did so and so fare i have got the run around for two weaks now. it seems like you would help with this problem because you sell it.i am not happy a happy customer.this happened at danville ky. wal-mart .My wife spent 129.89 plus tax for this phone wal-mart said I needed a bigger s.d card so I a 16 gb ,that did not take care of the promblem, software is the issue. please help us Thanks

I purchased a samsung smart phone for straight talk. In Va where the phone was purchased it works great with the exception of internet down or slow alot, however i live next to the va-ky line and when i travel to ky the phone wont do anything...No service at all, any suggestions to fix this problem will be greatly appreciated.... :?

How Could This Be Possible?

About a week in a half ago i paid my sister's phone bill. I also setup her account which has been up I think about two years. So this morning they turned her phone off and say that her minutes were transferred to another account that is on the line (which we know nothing about). They told me that there wasn't anything they could do because I didnt know the zip-code for the other phone (as I previous stated I know nothing about). I told her to give my money back or transfer her minutes back to her phone. She insist that I give her a zipcode to the phone that the minutes were transferred to and i tell her I DO NOT know anything about another phone on the account. After this long phone call I decide to hang up and call again later. THis second person insisted that the bill was never paid. *** STRAIGHTTALK WIRELESS.

WORST SERVICE EVER

I honestly don't know where to start . . . My husband and I both have straight talk. For the past couple months my phone has stopped working at least five times and no one from customer service could fix it, so I got a new phone. Both my husband and I got new phones because the internet on his phone has not worked in six plus months. First they put the wrong numbers with the wrong phones. Then my husbands new phone would not start up and did not work for a week. Then my phone stopped working after less than 24 hours. I had to pay for an additional month online to get one of my old phones to work again just to call them. After days of calling them and being on the phone with them for hours and hours and hours, they said both phones needed new sim cards. Once the sim cards came three days later, only my phone started working. Again my husband's phone would not work. Finally after hours and hours and about 20 codes later my husbands phone started working . . . and now my phone stopped working. Worst service ever, you just get passed from person to person and each person starts completely over. When you call you are pretty much guaranteed to be on the phone with them over an hour every single time if not much, much longer. When I spoke with them about getting my money back for the third month I had to pay for to get my old phone working again the guy told me I should not have reactived the phone and that if both our other phones were not working then I should have gone to a PAY PHONE OR WALMART in order to contact them!!!!!! They did not even want to refund my money for that month (I only used it for three days to call them about the phone problem!) If you never have phone problems than $30 for service is great, BUT if anything goes wrong the service is worthless. (This is only a summary of all the problems we have had!)

SO YEA, U DO GET WHAT U PAID FOR... SERVICE IS CHEAP, AND SO IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE... IF YOU GUYS WANT SOMETHING BETTER, THEN GO PAY $90 TO AT&T AND DEAL WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

BTW, T MOBILE HAS A COMPETING PREPAID PLAN FOR $60 THAT'S UNLIMITED, AND I BELIEVE UTILIZES THE 4G NETWORK FOR THE FIRST 100 MB (YEA I KNOW). BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO JAILBREAK YOUR IPHONE LIKE I DID, AND ADJUST THE APN SETTINGS AND YOU GET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. SO THAT MAY BE SOMETHING THAT YOU GUYS MAY WANT TO CONSIDER :)

Samsung phone from straight talk

I ordered a large refurbished phone from straight talk, but the phone that was sent to me, was a small one instead. This is the most confusing phone that ive ever had. I cant get on internet, cant get my calls to go threw half the time. Its the worst *** I've ever dealt with. I'll never order from them again. Plus they have poor customer service. It sounds like someone talking from a foreign country. I am very unhappy and feel like I got ripped off. I want a refund but cant get one. What a joke! Dont order from these people!

Straight Talk will still your overnight money and lie to you about shipping you package

I placed an order with Straight Talk for a sims card and unlimited talk,text, and media that is advetised hundreds of times on tv I payed for the overnight shipping. Ordered on a Sunday which is one of the *excluded shipping days I understand that but now is Wednesday and I have no package. I spoke to everyone at Straight Talk about my situation and all they could tell me was that if the order ever arrives at my door just refuse it and I will receive my refund. I just wanted my package not false advertisement be carefull.

Straight Talk is the worst phone service ever!

I purchased my first straight talk phone in March, 2012. Within a month, the phone stopped working. I got a replacement phone and that one stopped working as well. I replaced the phone again, and it stopped working 2 weeks later. I returned the last phone, but they sent me back a cheaper phone as replacement. I called them and spent 1hr50min on the phone explaining that they sent me the wrong phone. They sent me another replacement, but this phone was also incorrect. When I called them again, I spent 1hr on the phone with them, then was disconnected. I called again and spent another 1hr30min trying to get this matter resolved. This ussue is still unresolved a month later.

I'm having the same issue! The sent me a refurbished replacement phone that won't charge.

Then, they sent me a new battery and it still won't charge.

Now I have to wait another 7 days without a phone to receive the 2nd replacement phone and they refuse to send me the replacement before receiving my defective phone. I'm thinking of just dropping them.

Straight Talk doubled my order then making me wait to get my money back.

I ordered a cell phone from Straight Talk. When the order was complete, a message came up saying "do you want to display items sent unsecurely?" When I said yes, it took away my order confirmation page before i could print, and told me that the sale did not process correctly and the sale was invalid. I went through the ordering process over again and this time did not choose yes when the same message came up on the screen. I printed the order confirmation and then checked my bank account to see if the money had been reserved, yet. On the bank statement, it showed that the money had been reserved two times. I called Straight Talk on the customer line and told them what had happened. They looked into my account, didn't find any order numbers and finally found the order number that I printed the second time. They assured me that there wasn't a second order placed, that it had not been processed and that the second charge being held for reserve would be released then the banks re-opened. Monday, I checked my account again finding that the two charges were still pending. By Tuesday, both charges were placed, I received the first phone on Tuesday and the second (unwanted) phone on Thursday. When I called them on Thursday to tell them that I had a phone that I did not want, they informed me that it would be 30 days before I received my money ($200.00) back AFTER the phone was received by them. Also, I had to pay for the shipping (with tracking) back to them for a phone that I didn't want in the first place. When I asked them for compensation for the time spent on the phone, placing the order, and all of the hassle that I had to go through to get a *** phone, they compensated me with 10 service days. I am royally ticked! Seriously thinking about changing companies!! Wishing I knew a lawyer to help me file a suit!

Straight Talk

I have e-mailed and called Straight Talk many times, wasting hours on end talking and holding. My old Nokia E71 phone worked good with signal but not anything else. I moved up to the Samsung Proclaim and don't have any service. All they have done is told me to send my phone back in and they will try replacing it with another phone. The problem is, they don't have a phone like the Proclaim. I'm guessing they will try to give me an old phone that has been referbished instead of finding something better. Any suggestions?
