Same here. I have had nothing but problems with this company. No one told me that I had to send my defected phone in or that they needed it before they would ship me a new one. My phone is virtually useless. It will not stay on more than 10 seconds before it cuts off and with the battery at full charge. The screen completely freezes then cuts off. I have to remove the battery and power up that way every time I want to turn in on. I can't text, go online, receive calls, or navigate my menus. I have problems in the past with their phones but nothing this severe. I just applied a phone card two days before my phone finally killed over. They refuse to refund my money because I bought the card at Walmart. Then the customer service rep changed her mind all of the sudden and told me that I needed the receipt from walmart even though my account clearly states when and how much I added. They are basically telling me that I'm SOL. I told them *** no. I will not stop until someone makes it right.

Straight Talk International Calling Issues

I am writing this to assist other who may have similar problems resolving technical problems when calling international destinations. A month ago I purchased the international calling plan with Straight Talk to be able to call my family in Colombia. After two weeks, suddenly the calls wouldn't go through when calling via the international access line (410-635-****). I began calling straight talk customer service. It was necessary to wait on hold each time between 30-90 minutes. I was extremely frustrated, but refused to give up. After a month of calling almost daily, it was finally fixed. To help others, here is what I learned:

In order to fix technical issues beyond your phone, you have to call with a different phone (otherwise you will have to call again...and be on hold again). Ask to speak with the "office of management". This is located in Miami at the corporate office. You will wait on hold likely for over an hour, but if you call in the morning it may go faster. Explain that you are able to connect with other services. Also that with the access number that you can't connect to other phone numbers in that area (otherwise they will tell you they don't resolve problems with connections to individual numbers). Be prepared to give them examples. They will have you test call them while you are on the phone. Be persistent and keep track of your ticket number. Don't give up. It took me a month, but hopefully this will help you to fix it sooner.

It does not call australia and says when I call New Zealand that the line was busy ( always ) ??

i have straight talk 30 month plan wanted to call ild call to morocco, they told me the ild home phone does not cover morroco so i bought the 10 card ild card she told me it would work. i charged it to our debeit card, the assces number never went through it kept saying none working number i had called trying to get help, still nothing,none working number over and over,that all i got with the access number

Let me also add that the card WILL NOT work if your calling Egypt. They don't tell you that before you buy the card!!!!!

i also have the unlimited international plan with straight talk. after a few months of being able to make international calls through the access number, i got a recording stating that i didn't have sufficient credit to complete my call.

after many frustrating conversations with outsourced customer service reps from another country, i called the 305 number listed above and was connected to someone in the united states. although the call did take one hour to complete, the rep was very helpful. she informed me that unlimited international calling is not really unlimited. if they believe that you are making more calls than the average international caller, they red flag your account and freeze your international long distance until your refill date.

BEWARE, if you plan on making more than 100 minutes of international calling per day, you will be locked out of ILD until your refill date. UNLIMITED IS NOT UNLIMITED!

Why is straight talk allowed to be in business?

ive been with straight talk for 1 month, my question is simply...why are they not shut down by FCC or BBB or anybody for that matter ? this company is TOTALLY useless from A to Z. From foreign reps that speak broken english at best to people there deprogramming phones to the famous and ever popular " THE WHOLE PROBLEM IS IN YOUR PHONE SIR" not to mention everything takes 2hrs to fix, however it in all reality NEVER is fixed. i switched to this bogus company for cost reasons not knowing that my anger came at a huge cost and was more than the money loss with the last service provider i had

Straight Talk Wireless is nothing but a company full of thieves. Left with a broken phone and no options to get a new one.

I purchased a ZTE merit from them a little over a year ago and for the most part it worked. I had no trouble with straight talk or the phone itself. All of a sudden this past May, it stopped working. I called and they approved me for a replacement phone. They informed me that I had to send the broken phone back to them before they would send the replacement phone which is EXTREMELY inconvenient. I sent them the broken phone, waited for 7 days and the phone still hadn't arrived. I called and they didn't know where my phone was and couldn't give me a tracking number for my package so I could see where my replacement phone was. After arguing with them for 45 minutes I gave up. Finally after waiting another 7 days, the replacement phone showed up. When I opened it and first started using the phone, it seemed to work the way it was supposed to. I quickly realized that this phone was broken too. Half of the time the phone wouldn't even make calls. None of the apps I downloaded worked most of the time. I decided to ignore those problems with the phone simply because I didn't want to have to wait another two weeks for another replacement phone. Just a few days ago, the phone's screen went completely white. I can still receive calls but I can't see my screen at all. I called to inform straight talk about the problems I've been having with my phone. The woman I spoke to immediately approved me for a replacement phone. She took my shipping information and told me she'd send the shipping label to my email. I couldn't print out the label so I asked her to please send me a box that I could send the broken phone back to them in. She told me she would do it. The next day I checked my email and she sent me the label anyway. I called customer service to tell them again that I couldn't print out the shipping label. The man I spoke to informed me that the woman I spoke to did organize for a box to be sent to my house for the broken phone. He told me to just delete the email that contained the shipping label since a box was sent to my house. I deleted the email and waited for 3 days. When the box still hadn't arrived I called customer service again to see how much longer it would take. When a representative finally answered the phone, she informed me that there was no box being sent to my house. She had no idea what I was talking about because none of it was in their system. I was furious especially since I just paid them $45 for my monthly service plan. I argued with her for 30 minutes and I finally asked to speak to a manager. She refused to let me speak to a manager. I finally just told her to send another shipping label to my email and i'd take care of it myself. She took all of my shipping info again and told me she sent me the label. I hung up and immediately checked my email. The email I received didn't contain a shipping label. However it did contain a short note basically saying I had to wait 3-5 days for the shipping label. I was so angry. I called again to speak to yet another customer service representative. When I was connected to one, he didn't help me at all. He didn't seem to care and told me he would connect me to another department. I waited for 10 minutes and they hung up on me. I still have yet to receive a replacement phone or talk to a customer service rep that actually wants to help me. I'm warning you, DO NOT buy a phone from them. They'll put you in the same situation i'm in. They simply don't care if you're left without a phone. The customer service representatives don't even speak much English. None of the reps even seem to know what they're doing. The service is horrible. The phones are cheap. I have nothing nice to say about their company. They've done nothing but cause me stress and leave me without a working phone. I can't buy another one at this time & they refuse to help me anymore. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Straight Talk: A Complete BS "Company"

I switched to Straight Talk from AT&T because I wanted a less expensive service and unlimited everything. I have only been with Straight Talk since this past August, and already I am ready to switch to different company *again*. The service reps are in another country and don't have the skills to actually help you. They just repeat the same lines they memorized in English over and over until you get fed up and hang up or they'll transfer you over to someone else who is also incompetent. But for the more important part, the actual service itself is just pathetic. I have had times where my phone says the wi-fi connection is perfect but then I'll try to connect to a webpage or an app that needs Internet to work and I will immediately lose it. Same goes for the phone service. One minute I have all bars and within a few seconds my phone will say it has no service connection to make a call. There have been countless times that my calls have been dropped, and I can never predict when this will happen so I have had some very important calls drop. Very embarrassing and unprofessional. Not to mention rude. And when my phone actually does connect to a webpage or for an app, the connection is EXTREMELY slow or it will be fine for a few minutes then move at a crawling speed. And this doesn't happen with the wi-fi connection and phone service *sometimes*; this is NINETY PERCENT OF THE TIME. Absolutely ridiculous. It's like I'm not even paying for a wireless service. I am moving to another company at the end of this month. Tired of wasting my money on this so-called "company."

Trac phone ? Straight Talk is the worst cell comp every!!!

June 1, 2013 About A month ago straight talk/ trac phone did a browser update and ever since my internet browser has been very slow and or not loading pages at all and if I clear history che and cookies I get a message from trac phone / straight talk that my browser experience has been improved / enhanced and to complete the update I need to enter my phone # so I did and then I'd go a few days and then clear my history and che and cookies and it pops back up again after 20 times of this I was irritated to say the least. so I called straight talk and was told they wouldn’t help me because I didn’t have another phone # they could call me back on and then he had the nerve to ask me to go use my neighbors phone at 9pm by a csr Mark ID #618967 first and then a manager named Joseph 56312 id # after arguing with Joseph for 20mins or so he told me to hang up with him turn my phone off and wait 2 mins and the turn my phone back on and he'd call me back this was 2 mins before 9pm p.s.t. waited 10 mins no call back and when I called them back they were closed for the day. (Can you say very bad business practices). So I call back the next day and got a manger Matt 43364 Id # at the corporate office he did the same thing told me he couldn’t help me without another # to call me back at. After arguing with him for 10 mins he finally helped so I thought. Matt had me go into my phones application and clear my browser and then I was told by matt I would get 20 days of free service for the aggravation and he ask if my browser was working ok I said yes and we ended the call. After the call I went to go to 1 of my bookmarks and they were all gone every bookmark I had for the last 1.5 years some of witch where ever imported where erased and Matt didn’t even have the intelligence to tell me before he had me clear my browser that this would happen nor did he ask if I need to back this info up if I could. What B.S.!! Also the supposed 20 days of free service I never got. My service ended 3 day latter as it was going to anyways. Again what B.S. And of course my browser still doesn’t work and every time I open it I have to enter my phone # to “complete the update” to improved/ enhanced my browser experience. So not only did I get lied to and jerked around I can’t use my browser and I was expecting 20 free day of service so I didn’t buy a new card because I thought “*** me” I’d have 20 more days and as I don’t drive I know have to take a cab to get a new card when I was at the store 2 days ago and if I’d known that straight talk was full of it and lying to me I could have got 1 then. I hope straight talk does something about this but I’m not gona hold my breath *** company *** csr’s and *** managers what a business.

I HATE STRAIGHTTALK!!

I sent a phone that did not work into Straighttalk , being told that I would get my money refunded because I could not wait the time to get the replacement phone. I went out and purchased a new phone while I waited for my refund.

It has now been over a month and I called to check on it and they have no record of anything!!! They claim they never received the phone and now want me to do a bunch of *** just to try to prove that I sent the phone! I used their shipping address that they sent me!!

Straight talk SUCKS!!! Customer Service is HORRIBLE and you can NEVER be on the phone with them for less nthan 45 minutes!!

STRAIGHT TALK SUCKS! They took the payment out of my account twice in two days (12/31/15 & 1/2/16) sending my account into overdraft and after 2 hours and 28 mins, all but 12 mins of this time I was on hold.

Only to find out they have no way to put it back in my account. We all know that is a STRAIGHT UP LIE!! I should of known its all wal mart quality..aka *** PRODUCT, *** SERVICE! Be smart and stay away from Walmart, Straight Talk and Track Phone all together.

you will have a much better life!

I hate them too! Bought the sim card Bring Your Own Phone kit, and the first person I talked to said I could use the tracfone I have, so he ported my number to that sim card.

Told me to wait an hour, turn the phone off, then on again and if it didn't work, call them back. I did. I got a different person, of course, and SHE said I couldn't use my tracfone! SO I now have to wait for THEM to send me another sim card so I can go back to tracfone, they have to re- port my number...this could take DAYS!

I have NO home phone...and NOW I have no cell phone either!!! I am SUPER PISSED! Bunch of *** idiots! I requested they overnight the sim card, they said "they can't", I pitched such a fit, that they are going to now.

I still will be without a phone for at least 2 days! :( :(

Horrible customer service. If something ever goes wrong, you are screwed.

DO NOT USE STRAIGHT TALK!!! You will regret it. You get what you pay for, maybe even less. Their customer service is the worst I've ever had to deal with. My phone didn't work after I bought airtime so I had to call for help. Everyone is in India and they get really mad when you ask them to repeat what they said because you couldn't understand them. Also, after 2 hours on the phone one night, and another 2 hours the next night, the problem still has not been fixed. I don't think they can fix it, they don't do much while I'm on the phone with them besides transfer me to different people to talk to so I have to explain what's wrong about ten times. Just go to T-Mobile or Sprint, or anywhere else that has real people to help you! Customer service is so bad it is like having no customer service at all.

Refund

I purchased a Motorola Defy phone from your website on June 20,2013 and paid for the phone with my BB&T Debit card in the amount of $160.49. I received the phone the very next day at my home address . I used the phone Fri June 21- Sun June23 and it did not pick up in my area, I had no service that whole weekend. I sent the phone back through USPS on Monday morning June 24,2013 and tracked the phone and it showed that you got the phone at the return center on Wednesday June 26, 2013. Here it is August 27th and I still dont have a refund for the 160.49 that straight talk took out of my account on June 24, 2013. I have called Straight talk on numerous occasions to get nothing in reguards to this request for my refund. I have provided them the tracking number back in July when I had called since then I can not find my reciept and no longer have my email where i purchased the phone. I do have record through my bank of the purchase and thats it. I really would like to have my money back for the phone I have sent back to you. I am a single mother of 2 children and all I want as a loyal customer to straight talk is to get my money that is owed to me. Its been 2 billing cycles already and I still have no refund. Please help me with this.

I called again today and they say we need to provide you with another ticket number and you need to call back in 24-48 hours. I am so sick of the *** run around from these people.

It didnt take you no time to take the money out of my account, whats the problem with giving me my money back for the pos phone that didnt work that I sent back to them. Hate straight talk and I am gonna keep pressing the issue

They turned off my phone

I paid for 3 mnths of service and with NO warning they turned my phone off. And, no, the 3 mnths were not used, I was just starting. The phone was off the better part of the day and I missed client calls. I lost over $400 and have a list of irate customers. No apology from straight talk. Now my friends tell me that this is a common problem, especially if you are on a program that is automatic. However, this was my first card. When I registered it I was assured that everything was in place. Clearly it was not

Poor customer service and phone does not work

I bought a staright talk wireless service card for bring your own phone November 9, 2013. My service did not work. I called back the same day to fix the problem, however all i got was whats your telephone number and i never got one. So now my account is lost in the system. I talked to over 15 customer services reps for them to cold transfer me and hang up. Now its November 19, 2013 and still not service. Called the corp office and still no fix. Asked for my money back and get put on hold for 105******** something mins and still havent talked to anyone. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THIM YOUR SERVICE. YOU WILL BE REALLY PISSED! Still no money back for service i havent used at all!!!!!!

I can recieve email but when i try to make a call the prompt says mobile network not available

When I try to make a call a prompt says mobile network not available. I have plenty of time left on my account. Unlimited isn't unlimited!

I don't use YouTube very much. I was trying to watch music videos but it skipped and wouldn't load. In called straight talk and the man told me when I asked him why my phone was doing this he said I should watch my data usage. I told him I have the unlimited Droid phone. All he said was to not use the data as much. He even said just wait 15 minutes or an hour then I should be good with watching videos. It didn't happy and he said by using my phone too much it's slowing it down. I kept reminding him it was unlimited but he didn't care. Then he hurried off the phone. What a joke! It's all about lies and control it seems.

If you read the information, You have unlimited talk, text and data. The first 2.5 GB of data at 4G speed.

After that you are throttled till the next month at 2G speed. Which is REALLY slow.
