PHONE 1/2 WORKS | Straight Talk Wireless review from Graniteville, South Carolina

I bought Samsung phone at wal-mart from straight talk. Have had the same problems over and over again with the phone, which is I can SOMETIMES talk on it, I can SOMETIMES send a text message, it will SOMETIMES stay on and not reset itself. Straight talk will not replace the phone because when she placed a call to it, it worked. I explained that it does work 1/2 the time. I bought the wal-mart product replacement plan, they won't replace the phone because it should still be under manufactures warranty...bottom line I am out of 250.00 plus the phone. They say you get what you pay for but I am getting screwed, therefore never will I buy another straight talk phone nor a wal-mart replacement plan. And I strongly advise everyone else to consider another company.

Mine is doing the same thing right now! It has been for the last two days!

Like someone else said, it should not say unlimited if it's not..

to me that's false advertising! :(

I have straight talks unlimited plan. I purchased the 6 month card.

They had an automated recording call me 2 days ago to tell me that I have been using too much data and that I needed to stop using so much or they would either turn off my data or disconnect my phone altogether. My 6- months I up in August.

I won't be renewing. Totally agree straight talk shouldn't sell unlimited if its not unlimited

I have straight talk and I love it. I use the internet daily on it but not all day long.

Maybe you should consider another service and pay more money. We all have phones with straight talk and love their service.

Horrible customer service | Straight Talk Wireless review from Chicago, Illinois

I have had numerous problems with straight talk customer service. First is the frustration of their automated voice menu which has you dial the number they themselves provide for home service. After jumping through hoops to get to what you think is the correct service, you will be told they have to transfer you to the correct department. By now you have entered or spoken your phone number about 5 times. Now you get a terrible connection with someone on the other side of the planet who you cannot understand. Don't be surprised if you get hung up on as I have, even though I was courteous. If tbey can't resolve an issue you will be transferred over and over and the process starts again. Horrible! Internatiol calling for 2 months and it does not work. They have you follow a procedure to rectify the problem only to wind at square one. Exasperating! I tried to enroll in auto pay with my credit card and was told I had to call back againAt a later date. What?

Straight talk wireless rip off

I bought a phone and its a cheaply. So you get what you pay for right? Right. So that's why I'm pissed. StraightTalk does not give refunds as a matter of policy. Ok so when my cheaply made phone stopped being ably to use 3G data, right after I paid for a full month of unlimited data, I called them. During the course of talking to multiple people with Indian accents, who used names like Andrew and Xavier, I knew its all off-shore. They kept me on the phone for almost 2 hours before deciding that its just my phone that is the issue and then said with an accent "I hope we have resolved your issue. Thank you for calling straight talk." I got no straight talk from them. Issue unresolved. Rip off.

Unsatisfied customer | Straight Talk Wireless review from Clearfield, Kentucky

I have called Straight Talk for 3 days trying to get another phone to work, after buying a battery for the phone .I called to get it going,They could not. So they sent me a new sim card to fit this phone.Called today to get it activated, to put it short and nicely-----they don't know what they are doing!!!!!Now I have 2 Straight talk Phones ,2 sim cards,AND NEITHER ONE WILL WORK.They messed up on their end with the numbers now they can't fix it. I am so disappointed with Straight Talk if I had the money I would change in a flash.Thats why people go to Straight Talk to save money but when they seem to not know what to do to help it makes no sense to have it.I would really like to talk to someone that is in charge, and could get something done.I need HELP!!!!!!

Been on phone 4 times with them in 4 days about 3 different phones! First they had to clear my phone out and I lost all my data...(that was my phone) then they tell me a sim card isn't able to transfer to another phone I bought (my daughters) and now my daughter can't send messages (phone I just bought) now they are telling me they don't know whats wrong, can't trouble shoot and I should buy another phone. My response....yea with another *** company. THEY SUCK! And no offense when I press 1 for English I would like to know that the person answering my call might actually speak English!

Wow just horrible | Straight Talk Wireless review from Columbus, Ohio

I was comparing all the options of changing to a prepaid to get out of my "big carrier". All the ones I checked had some sort of BS on there "unlimited" data. But at lest they all had them listed on there site. I went to straight talk after hearing my nephew was on them to compare. I could not find any info on there cap. So I pretended to be a new customer and still no info. OK so I went into terms and conditions and actually read it all. Still nothing. So I called. They really don't know anything about the product at all. I asked the customer service rep. "So do you stay at 4g speeds if I use over 2 gigs or like the other providers or do I go to 3g or 2g" her answer was first "You stay at what ever your phone is. If it is a 4g phone then is always a 4g phone" then after I told her she miss understood and asked "If I go over a certain gig will you slow my speeds down and to what 3g or 2g" her answer was then simply "yes" I was like thats not even answer. Finally she told me that it would be but its all automated but she could not tell me when or how fast! I was said if its automated then tell me what the computer is set for. Really? Finally got a supervisor and they told me that its 1.5 you get slowed and you get a warning. If you go over again you must be miss using it and they can shut you off. The supervisor even told me no joke that "using youtube is against the terms of service" not any amount just USING it was!

Customer Service Scam | Straight Talk Wireless review from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Have been on the phone with them over 3 hours today and they either don't know what they're doing or are trying to scam me. My Samsung Galaxy quit working, sent it in for repairs but they sent back an LG 3.0. At first they insisted they sent the right phone, then they blamed it on FedEx, but the tracking number matched so they couldn't stick to that story (I got them to give me the tracking number first but it was same as the package). Everytime I think I'm close to getting resolution (like getting a supervisor on the phone) the phone gets dropped. I was 65 minutes on the last call before they dropped me and every call-back you have to start from the beginning. I'm done with these *** Walmart should drop them.

Horrible customer service and phones | Straight Talk Wireless review from Haverhill, Massachusetts

I have been a loyal straighttalk customer for almost 4 years! After the first time I called to activate the phone I realized that no one there knows what they are doing! I hated the customer service but I figured that bad customer service was just something to look past when getting a good deal. I replaced my phone with an android about a year ago. The android phone is a piece of ***. I paid over 200 dollars for this phone. I was better off never upgrading to it! When I bought the phone I also added the warranty they sell, which is a waste. It says they cover you up to 18months and you will receive a new phone. Well all straight talk phones are guarenteed for a year. If your phone breaks in this time you have to go through straight talk instead of the other people. So its really your getting 6 months of an extended warranty. If you want to you still cant get the phone through the company that you paid for the warranty. Anyway in the past year I have had them send me 5 different androids since they keep breaking (honestly its nothing I am doing to them). Everytime the phone breaks I call them and explain to them the phone wont turn on or anything. First they ask me the color of the paper on the inside, which is always white because no I am not dropping it in water. Next they will tell me to turn the phone on (after I tell them it does not turn on). Then they will tell me to try typing in codes (even though the *** phone doesnt turn on). After they finally get it through their thick skulls the phone is broken I have to send my phone back and wait for them to receive it before they even send out mine. It usually takes about 3 weeks without a phone till I finally receive the phone. When I finally get the phone I open it to see its another piece of *** refurbished phone (thats all they will send out). So I bought a new phone and a little bit over a month later when it first broke I recieved a refurbished one which broke quick, then another refurbished etc). After the third refurbished phone I was mad and I asked to speak to every supervisor until I got to the top. He told me he would make a note and i defiantly would not receive another refurbished piece of junk, well guess what I did recive another refurbished. I called him and he basicly called me a liar. I said well lets see the box says reconditioned, and there is a green marker line on the inside where the serial number is which i know is indicitive of a refurbished phone. I am a well educated woman, do not act as if I am ***. Well the next person I talked to told me unless we receive the phone back within 30 days no one receives a new phone replacement. Too bad his boss didn't know that. Also I have to keep fighting to get my air time added back on (when I lose out on 3 weeks of an unlimited card due to their piece of *** phone breaking). Today I called to get the airtime compensated and the first guy tried to tell me "I can't do that", I told him I have already talked to several people who said they would do it, and note that in my account. He told me "well you are not owed anything, and I do not see any notes in your account". I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me "no one can help you, a supervisor wont do it either". Well after arguing for a while a talk to a supervisor and she looked at my account and found the notes from the other person and added the time that she could see I was missing. So why was this man so rude and not wanting to help. Also where the *** is straight talk based out of? India? Needless to say I will be dropping this service very soon. As soon as I have the money (probably a month) I will be switching providers. I can't wait. After looking at these other reviews I know its not too long before straight talk is done for!
