My data was shut off and after talking to customer no service was advised that because of my service plan (which is a whole other story) that my data would be restored at my next renewal date and get this December 22, 2013. I asked for a supervisor and was given the double speak and never allowed to speak to a supervisor. I called back again I started out by asking to speak to a supervisor, they read from a script and when I asked to answer if she was going to let me speak to a supervisor she read the script again. Again I asked to speak to a supervisor again she read the script, I advised her that this was a yes or no question that I needed her to answer either yes or no again she read me the script. Then she transferred me to the "high data usage department", which is a transfer to an automated message telling you that you use too much data. then it shuts off................. and every call back to them is the same just over and over again. Oh yes and if you are rude to there customer service reps they reserve the right to cancel your service... I asked them to cancel my service and refund me my money but got no response they just read the script again.

Straight talk I get no service no help phone to work | Straight Talk Wireless review from Flushing, Michigan

3 years Straight Talk customer 2 phones. I added 1000 minute card on my phone. You said warranty expired on phone. Have to buy new phone and unlimited card. I lost the initial 1000 minute card at $30.00. Bought phone and card on credit card. Received phone and service sucks for first week, then service stopped working altogether, tried calling you don't solve problem. Tell me towers may be down, but then I need my phone and lose part of my 30 days unlimited. If phone not back on in one day I will no longer use your services!

I've been a loyal Straighttalk customer for years and even recommended them repeatedly to everyone, until the first time I had to call their customer service. It literally took 3 calls wherein I had to be put on hold several times for the issue to be resolved. I assumed it was an isolated incident. I was wrong. I've had a few issues now, usually having to do with bill payment problems and activation errors, and I can tell you that I have never once had an issue that it didn't take multiple calls to resolve, and some were never resolved because their customer service representatives are so poorly trained and have so many issues answering simple basic question. This last one, though, really was the last straw. They can't even activate a cell phone they sold without hangups! I will now be telling everyone I know to AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I've had them for years and I'm not even sticking with them. Any service is better than this one.

the walmart where i live in chico california does not have any 45$ sevice cards available.they tried talking me into buying a 60$ card.i have no use for international calling so i had to buy a pre paid card. then when i tried to pay the bill over the phone they wanted the serial number of the phone. i was doing this for my girlfriend and didnt have any of this info. im disgusted with this phone sevice. i talked all of my family into switching to this service but if the walmart in my area cant provide service cards and your employees are gonna need my name rank and serial number to pay a bill i dont think we will go through all this drama next time id rather buy a new phone than have to go through a debriefing again

Horrible Customer Service | Straight Talk Wireless review from Rocky Mount, North Carolina

I had to suffer with a defective phone for about 3 months. Then when they decided to replace it the issues got even worse. When I got my new phone instead of putting the service on my new phone they put it on the defective phone after I provided them with the new serial number for my new phone. I had to calls days in a row. Then when I asked for a supervisor I was told that my refill card was not scanned properly. So there I go taking it back to the store got a new card and guess what still no service. They still had it going to my old defective phone. They kept giving me excuses that the sprint towers were down and to wait for them to come back up. I was sitting in a room with 5 people with straight talk and the towers seemed to be working fine for them. They were all trying to call my phone that was not activated. I called back and asked them if they had the correct serial number they didnt of course. I adivsed them that they had the service going to the wrong phone. They had the nerve to ask me what was the serial number of my defective phone. How in the world was I suppose to know that if they have the phone. I had sent it back to them. After giving them the correct serial number they then advised me that I could not keep my same phone number. I had to get a new one for my phone to work. So this phone company could not transfer my phone number from one straight talk phone to another one. Bad bussiness in my book. I had tried to port a number from another cell phone company and they couldnt do that either. When I asked why all the rep kept saying was I am not able to transfer you phone number. What grade level is required to work with this company. They seem to babble on and start using words in their own language. Bad bad customer services. If there is ever a protest I will be in the midst.

I had Verizon and went to Straight Talk because the bill was so much lower. You get what you pay for. At least when I had Verizon, I could make a call, keep a call, and send and receive SMS and MMS. I drop almost ALL of my calls now. It's like 1997 on this service. 2 out of 3 times I try to make a call, I just get this awful screeching sound. Probably 1/3 of the calls I receive, I don't hear anything from the other side. Never had this problem before I had Straight Talk service. My SMS messages often take forever to send, and MMS messages can literally take most of a day. When my wife tries to send me MMS messages, I usually don't get them. Customer service is obviously outsourced to a non-English speaking country. They understand enough to know you're having a problem, but in the two times I have called, it has been nearly impossible to get them to understand the specifics of my issue. I wish I spoke any other language as well as they speak English, but still, it's not good enough for customer service.

STRAIGHT TALK CELL SERVICE SUCKS. For the second month in a row they arbitrarily gave my daughter's cell number to someone else and her phone quit working. It is a month by month, due on the 15th and we paid this next month on the 11th. Their customer service is absolutely worthless as far as resolving it. They merely reassigned another number after claiming they were going to reestablish service with a 95 to 100% chance of getting back the original number. Trying to get the original number back so far has taken 3 hours of phone time ending with the rep. somehow putting me on endless hold. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO ANYONE. Try to email them. Click on phone contact us on their site. NOTHING.

WORST PHONE COMPANY EVER | Straight Talk Wireless review from West Hartford, Connecticut

I attempted to pay my bill online 2 days ago but was told that the transaction wouldn't go through and that I needed to call customer service. After calling customer service they told me to call back b/c they had a "glitch" in the system. WTF is that supposed to mean? So I called back and they said that they couldn't do anything about it and that I would have to wait 24 hours in order to call them back about my case. They proceeded to give me a case #. It was very inconvenient to my life having to deal with all these issues. 1 Month ago I also had a problem with my straight talk phone. It was showing just a black screen with a loading circular image on it. Once again I called them and they told me that the only thing that they could do was hard reset my whole phone. This means that everything would be erased and deleted off of my phone, apps EVERYTHING!! DO NOT GET STRAIGHT TALK IT IS CHEAP, BUT NOT QUALITY.
