Dont purchase straight talk wireless!!

I carefully searched for a cheap non contract phone,since cricket wireless was a little expensive on a budget I chose straight talk wireless because it was only $45 month unlimited everything,plus had smart phones that i liked,and i purchased the replacement plan.I bought it in february service was good and phone worked well.Well when my screen cracked I called them and they sent me a prepaid package to return the phone so I did.They told me 3-5 business days to recieve my replacement phone.Well 3 weeks went by I kept contacting them and no one knew where my replacement phone went.They told me they fixed my broken phone and couldnt find my account and why did i send back my other one.After a month and numerous calls I find this complaint about straight talk wireless and call corporate they said,they have two reference numbers I must have gave them the one that wasnt for my replacement phone so I give correct info once again and the lady informs me she is sending me my phone and itl be rushed as soon as possible and when i recieve it ill have minutes on it.This company is awful a month really after calling and complaining I finally had it.so i am waiting 3-5 days and I better get my phone.So if i was you guys dont purchase straight talk!!

Replacement ***

I ordered a new phone which despite being listed as appropriate for my zip code got very poor reception. It took 3 separate conversations to get customer service to agree to replace the phone.Then began a series of conflicting and contradictory information given by a slew of "supervisors" and "managers." In total I've talked to 10 of these individuals, the majority of whom stuck to a script, regardless of any questions I posed. The non-working phone was received in their warehouse on March 13. Due to a series of screw ups no one can explain the replacement phone wasn't released for shipment until yesterday.I sent emails to Ms. Calderon and customerescalations@***e(not a typo)and got no response.Replacement phone is suppose to arrive tomorrow. I have been without cell service for nearly two weeks, not counting the week I spent trying to convince customer service that the phone didn't work in my neighborhood.Until this point, except for a few issues with the RESERVE, I'd been happy with Straight Talk. But if you order a new phone MAKE SURE it is tied to a carrier who provides very good coverage in your area.

No proration when changing plans

Straight talk does NOT prorate when changing plans. You need the $45 plan for smart phones. If you already have the $30 plan, wait for the $30 anniversary or you will get charged more than $45 for the upcoming month. Worst case is having just paid the $30 for the next month and you want to switch to the $45 plan, the new $45 plan starts immediately and you get zero credit for $30 that you just spent. Also take control while transferring plans by getting out of "Auto Refill". You can switch back to automatically have pavements deducted when the transition is complete. You don't have to do any of this if you do not mind getting charged without the benefit of proration.

Shut off data!

shut off data on my phone! say i used to much! I have had phone for a year never had a problem. now i am using to much because i watched a 2 minute video on you tube this unfair they advertise as unlimited but they are not and should not be able to advertise as such!i called them and got a foreign person who was hard to understand! my service end date is not for another two weeks there is no way i used more data in 2 weeks than i have in the past months i have been using there service

Constant issues after adding minutes,

In December we bought 2 Straight Talk phones, one for my sister, one for my mother. In December I activated my sister's phone, it was a christmas gift, I went through the online activation process, shortly after finishing the phone messaged that I needed to call Customer Support. I called customer support, spent over an hour on the phone with customer support. They had me enter code after code and eventually the man said that the issue was a bad sim card and said they would mail a new one. Despite this the phone still made calls and sends texts. Thus the problem seemed fixed. In January, we added my mothers line to the account. After doing this we again received texts to call Customer Service so we did. After 3 hours on the phone, They had us enter in code after code, and eventually the phones stopped getting the text message so they said the problem would never happen again. In February, we added a month of service to each phone, then each received a message to call Customer Service. We called Customer Service, it was this time we got really pissed off. We kept reiterating that we were calling about 2 phones, with two numbers. They seemed unable to process such a monumental task. So, after being told different story after different story, and being put on hold for an extended amount of time, we called from a second phone and while simultaneously dealing with two separate representatives and receiving two stories from separate representatives. One claimed, it was because the inbox of the phone was full, they claim that when the inbox is full, the programming code bounces back. This was completely ridiculous because the inbox was EMPTY. On the second line the gentleman explained that it was a programming issue I asked him what we needed to do that would stop this from happening ever again. He updated the account, did something of this and that and PROMISED, this would NEVER happen again. The phones worked for the Month. Lo and Behold in March it happened again. Before being able to add minutes it had us call customer support. They had us enter code after code the same thing happened. They claimed the inbox lie again. After nearly an hour, they said that it was done. We attempted to add minutes, then we got the text call Customer Service. We spent an hour on the phone entering codes checking serial numbers, we asked to be transferred to a manager, the person transferred us to a number that said the call volume was so great they were unable to take the call. We called again, this time we got a man, who after going through the same problematic process of entering codes, admitted he didn't have the tools to fix it. He claimed he was putting us through to a certain service representative who was more knowledgeable. After 24 minutes the phone was answered by a lady who clearly had no clue what was going on, she claimed to not have the phone number that has an account. We gave her the serial number and wow we do have an account and with the number we provided. After a further 20 minutes with her she transferred us to a manager line, which said the call volume wouldn't allow the call to be placed. We called again, this time we asked straight for a manager, we told him we didn't believe he was transferring us to a manager but hanging up on us. He Swore he wasn't, actually he was. The call volume was too great to allow us to call, click. We called again, asked for a manager, to walk over and answer this phone we we talking on. We were put back on hold. We finally were transferred to kirk and demanded to receive 2 free months, one for each phone. He said he could only give 10 days extension for one phone. we received no satisfaction. I have Sprint and would rather have my *** kicked into my abdomen than switch to straight talk. If anyone has experienced something similar, I feel for you. I say $300 strictly for what I would get as an hourly rate at a typical work call.

Here is the straight talk about straight talk

March 13th, 2013 my service with Straight Talk was suspended. I called five times to get a reason for their action, the conversation always ended up with a recorded massage about my usage. Wait. I paid for unlimited access. I pay 45 dollars a month for this service. I also sent 645 dollars for an I phone 5 from Wal-Mart so I can enjoy this service. I finally asked to speak to a manager. He answered, saying also that my usage was high. I asked; why didn’t I get some kind of warning before they suspended my services. He forwarded me to the same pre recorded massage. Really. This has to be false advertisement on behalf of Wal-Mart and Straight Talk.

I am going to get the iphone with ST and have never had an issue with my data use. I just called them and they said my account was in good standing.

You have every right to be upset at straight talk, but please don't point the blame on Walmart. As a Walmart wireless.associate I can promise you we go through the exact same.poor (which is an understatement )customer service you do.

I spend over half of my shift trying to resolve there kinds of issues. The phones are not Walmart. Walmart just sells the phones for straight talk. I today in fact spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to assist a customer in transferring devices :(.

I was hung up on transferred,and had to speak to three reps before the customers issue could be resolved. Hang in there :upset

I agree in that Straight Talk is the main culprit here but Wal-Mart also bears some responsibility for continuing to sell this POS service. People are being ripped off buy this company every day, yet Wal-Mart is more than happy to allow this company's products to remain on it's shelves. I worked at Wal-Mart while in school and know people who still do, some in the wireless department, so I can sympathize with the situation of the associates but Wal-Mart, as a company, should not allow products from companies like this to remain in their stores.

I have had a Straight Talk phone and their service for almost 4 years now. I have had no problem with it.

I enjoy the service and it's perfect for me. Only problem I have is with their website. I used to pay online every month but now it won't change some wrong info.

I've called 3 times to get this straightened out. I really like the fact that they have remained the same price for all four years.

They did the same thing to me. Got a call about two months ago telling me to slow down.

I continued to refill and use my service until yesterday morning when my data got turned off. I called because I thought it was an outage but the customer service rep that hardly spoke English yet claimed her name was Denise transferred me to a recording telling me I have used over 1.5 gb of data alotted each month and how to save data. No chance to ask for another representative to see what was going on. It is a scam.

They dont have truly unlimited anything on this network.

Switching next week when my service is up.

Bought phone,returned less than a week, and have been waiting for thirteen days and straight phone

I bought a straight phone android dynamic and three days later had to call straight talk to have the wireless phone shipped to straight talk and straight talk was going to send me a new phone that was the 4th for March 2013? On the 9th of March I called straight talk and a recording said my straight phone order would arrive at my home address with in five day from the day that I had called. Than on the 15th of March 2013, I spoke to "Rouse" with straight talk in Customer Service. He said to wait a couple more days to recieve my order from straight talk? Than on the 16th of March 2013, I called straight talk and spoke to a young lady by the name of "JOAN" She was very "RUDE" and she said she couldn't find any tracking number on the phone I was telling her about so she said than to wait a few more days and see if I recieve it? I than told "JOAN" that not only did I have the TRACKING NUMBER, But I also had another number I was issued the first day that I had called the order in! I than gave "JOAN" the numbers that I had been issued so she could try to help me find out when I would recieve my phone I had ordered, "JOAN" than said she couldn't find out where my order was because the TRACKING number I had given her was the TRACKING number that sent my wireless phone back to Straight Talk and they haven't received it yet? I than told "JOAN" that she was mistaken Because I had Tracked the order all the way to the front door of Straight Talk (Brightpoint), And the shipping label that was sent to me to mail my wireless phone back to Straight Talk had already been received by Straight Talk on the 4th of March 2013! Now I told "JOAN" What is so hard about finding some information on when my wireless phone will be arriving to my home that I have already paid for and was told that Straight Talk would be just Exchanging the wireless phone for another NEW wireless phone to replace it? Than I said I think its time to speak to a supervisor? "JOAN" than told me"NO" I said what "NO" you won't let me speak to a supervisor? Or are you going to give me another excuse instead of telling me What is up with my order? Than "JOAN" said I am not giving you excuses, I said than transfer me to your supervisor.She than said if you would stop talking I would help you? than I said go ahead than? Than "JOAN" said I will try to reach a supervisor for you? "JOAN" Than put me on hold forever and no one ever came back to help me at all? I than called back so the next person could check out all information again and put me on hold for another twenty to thirty minutes and again no one ever finished helping Now I am out of about one hundred dollars plus, and don't have anything to show for what I spent the money on the Straight Talk Android Optimus Dunamic and Straight Talk has that phone too

No Service, no bars

I have called straight talk several times to get my phone fixed, they keep transfereing me to different people, I can't receive calls or text messages and I can't even make calles it says call restricted 34 what the f I even talked to a rep and she said that if we couldn't get it fixed that she will send me another phone and transfere those minutes onto my new phone then she says that she has to transfere me to A HIGHER UP personnel, okay thats fine but when they tell me that all repasentives are currently busy and to call back later and then says good bye and hangs up on you then you try to call back and u can't get anywhere with the computer it hangs up on u also saying codes have to be programemed in and u have to talk to a tech, it says goodbye, and hangs up on you. and can't get anyone back on the phone so you can talk to someone again cause it keeps on hanging up on you.and cause you can't use the phone you are losing out on the 30.00 min that you put on there, I want something done NOW either a my phone gets fixed and my minutes gets reinburst or a new phone with another 30.00 dollar min card .

No service

I have had no service on my phone for 4 days, I still have minutes and text minutes but I can't use my phone, I want it fixed or refund my minutes, my expire date is coming up now 3/18/2013, I have 655.00 min left and 529.00 messages left and then when I get on the web its is saying restriction # 36 what is up with that, I either want the problem be fixed or I want my minutes back since I'm not getting no service plus what is up with have to pick a network, never had to before and the only network showing up on my phone is at&t. Straight talk customer service THE WORST SERVICE

International plan spent work

The first 2 months with straight talk worked fine, the thirh time I refilled with with the $60 international card, I could only make international calls from the Dayton oh and Detroit mi area. I've called at least 10 times, sometime waiting for over 60 minutes, other times when the rep couldn't solve my problem, said he/she would transfer me to superviser, then had to wait for long time, finally the line cut off. Now in my 5th month, I can only make international calls from a place I've never been before, all my regular routes have been cut off, even though i refilled with the $60 international card. I called again yesterday, had to use my pay as you go phone, waisted at least another 30 min until she was going to transfer me to her superviser after we had turned the phone on and off a few times, the she eighteen hung up or the phone just lost connection... This is horrible service, and this is the last time I'm refilling the phone. My

Straight Talk 411 is ***

Generally speaking, the Straight Talk at Home unit I purchased works great and the $15 a month unlimited talk cannot be beat. I am happy with that. However, the so-called 411 is a god damned joke. I have NEVER been able to once get a satisfactory use from this and it angers the *** out of me. I hope some executive from Straight Talk or Tracfone sees this. Their 411 is USELESS. In addition, they have advertising. I have called a couple of businesses that do advertise and asked to speak to someone responsible for purchasing ad space and told them of this issue and stated that I for one would associate their business with a bad experience and urged them to reconsider buying ads on this 411. I hope the persons repsonible for this go to ***.

I'm mad *** ***!!!

I've been a straight talk customer for 3yrs, and this isn't the first time I've had a problem but it is my first time complaining.I bought a new phone 2 days ago and I used the automated system to transfer my number over to another straight talk phone. When I call customer service I never seem to get a REAL PERSON!!! What's up with that? Anyway...I keep getting the same *** message saying to call back in 15mins. Someone needs to do something about this, I'm seriously thinking about changing my cellular service all because their customer service sucks!!!!!

My phone

i put my new refill card on last night and today my phone says it has been deactivated why is that. i never had this prob before.I can't see spending money and not getting any thing from now i lose a day thats not right. why is this going on i have been with you for almost 3 yrs now. i think this is just bull coz this is my everyday phone and i can't talk to anyone at all.i am so pissed right now that i might leave and find a better server. coz i am that pissed. and not being able to talk to someone about this problem on the phone isn't right either.
