I, too, have a samsung galaxy 2 phone for almost 1 year and no problems until 1 month ago. I noticed after 2 weeks of refilling my service that my 4G was turned off I called customer service and they told me I buy elated their terms and conditions.

they told me I should be using wifi when I am home I was really mad and they would not put me in touch with the supervisor. today, July 20th, after 4 days of renewing my minutes and cell phone plan I am off again turned off from having any 4G service. I call to speak to customer service and ask for a manager when I was told I violated terms and conditions. BS!!!

like I said, I just renewed my contract for days ago and when I was home if I did happen to use the internet I would always turn on my wifi. this is a breach of contract they did not put me through to a supervisor the *** I spoke to told me that he is not allowed to put me through to a manager or supervisor. I have for straight talk phones throughout my family and you can bet that tomorrow I am going to the bank and disputing all four charges which we just renewed over the past week.

I'm sure they will be a lawsuit soon and I wish I knew how to start one. this is so wrong $50 a month I own a 350 dollar phone and I can even use it the way I'm supposed to.

Ms Sandra Alsabrook

A charge from straight talk appeared on my statement on Feb 22 for 48.91 and I don't even own a straight phone!!!! I can get nowhere with any dept because NONE of them speak ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!! They gave me a number where I could contact problems directly 866-667-****; well guess what??? The number was not even a valid no!!!!! I would NEVER NEVER NEVER buy anything from them even if were shopping for new phone service. And I'm just out the 48.91!!!!! If a company is going to offer a service they should at least have people who can speak English and understand the customer

Cellphone was replaced with another non working phone

My Cellphone was defective returned to Straighttalk took a month and a half to get new phone. The New Phone was defective now I will be without a phone again for a month in a half. I feel they have given me the run around, every time I call it takes thirty minutes to an hour to get anything resolved. All I want is my phone replaced and that it works. I am tired of dealing with Straighttalk their customer service barely speak English and I am not looking forward to having no cell phone again. I have to call Customer Service again and am really hating that.

Straight Talk Shut Off Data On "Unlimited Data" Plan!!

I have continually had my data shut off by Straight Talk and I have to call in to there terrible customer service, they do something, I restart my phone and it's back. Then one day it got shut off and I called in and asked why they keep shutting it off and the very rude agent said it's because I violated the user agreement? I asked how and she said it is because I am not supposed to be using data? I asked how am I not supposed to be using data when they sold me a smart phone and I pay for the most expensive plan with "unlimited data"? She then said that we advertise it as unlimited data but you aren't allowed to use it, so you do have access to the data but if you use it, it is violating the user agreement! WHAT?! That is the most illegal scam I have ever heard of!

How do you expect The government To stop illegal activity When they are benefiting from it In the form of Tax revenue. So nothing will ever be done. It will just get worse in this country.

#638577

I am wondering if you have to talk to the "great" customer service or if data turns back on when the plan is renewed?

#650632
@PissedConsumer638577

they do not, once data is shut off, you can never get it back. They also say if you don't like it, leave.

@Kassia Mkz

File a BBB complaint, it's what I did. It may take them a month or two to get in contact with you, but my phone is now reactivated and has 4 months of free service.

#634273

At least they told you! When they shut off mine I asked why, and they said I violated the contract somehow.

When I asked them how, they said "maybe" I went over my data. "Maybe" I went to a banned website.

None of the customer service agents I talked to could give me a straight answer! :(

#625290

They did the same to me. You are only allowed 1.5gb per month and then they turn off your service even when you pay.

Awful experience

I have become a StraightTalk customer only a month ago and already ran into so much trouble with them, I cannot even believe it myself. To begin, their international plan is a complete fraud. They do not have a list of covered cities, and you have to text message each international phone number somewhere to find out if it is available. What if I have 120 friends in England and 200 in Russia? Then, after each call, even to a voicemail, the phone goes into a searching mode for a minute or two. Technical support tried, but failed to fix the problem. And third. They do not disclose your account number, so if you want to switch to a different carrier, the only way to find out what your account number is, to call them and produce the SIM card number, which means you have to take it out and use some other phone. Not to mention that you will be on hold for an hour before you get connected to a live person. I am totally disgusted. Whoever runs this scam, should be in jail for fraud.

Straight Talk International Calling Issues

I am writing this to assist other who may have similar problems resolving technical problems when calling international destinations. A month ago I purchased the international calling plan with Straight Talk to be able to call my family in Colombia. After two weeks, suddenly the calls wouldn't go through when calling via the international access line (410-635-****). I began calling straight talk customer service. It was necessary to wait on hold each time between 30-90 minutes. I was extremely frustrated, but refused to give up. After a month of calling almost daily, it was finally fixed. To help others, here is what I learned: In order to fix technical issues beyond your phone, you have to call with a different phone (otherwise you will have to call again...and be on hold again). Ask to speak with the "office of management". This is located in Miami at the corporate office. You will wait on hold likely for over an hour, but if you call in the morning it may go faster. Explain that you are able to connect with other services. Also that with the access number that you can't connect to other phone numbers in that area (otherwise they will tell you they don't resolve problems with connections to individual numbers). Be prepared to give them examples. They will have you test call them while you are on the phone. Be persistent and keep track of your ticket number. Don't give up. It took me a month, but hopefully this will help you to fix it sooner. Here is all their contact info: Straight Talk Wireless USA Corporate Office Headquarters HQ Address: 9700 NW 112th Avenue Miami, FL 33178 Straight Talk customer service number: 1-87*-430-**** Other contact numbers I found: 1-30*-640-**** 1-87*-430-**** 1-80*-876-**** Email Address: custsrv@***.com customerfeedback@***.com corporateoffice@***.com Straight Talk Twitter page: http://twitter.com/StraightTalkME Straight Talk Facebook page & discussion board: http://www.facebook.com/StraightTalkWireless They are owned by TracFone. Here are some other numbers: TracFone customer service number: 1-80*-876-**** TracFone after-hours customer service number: 1-80*-867-**** Hopefully this is helpful.

It does not call australia and says when I call New Zealand that the line was busy ( always ) ??

#775094

i have straight talk 30 month plan wanted to call ild call to morocco, they told me the ild home phone does not cover morroco so i bought the 10 card ild card she told me it would work. i charged it to our debeit card, the assces number never went through it kept saying none working number i had called trying to get help, still nothing, none working number over and over, that all i got with the access number

#677141

Let me also add that the card WILL NOT work if your calling Egypt. They don't tell you that before you buy the card!!!!!

#622884

i also have the unlimited international plan with straight talk. after a few months of being able to make international calls through the access number, i got a recording stating that i didn't have sufficient credit to complete my call.

after many frustrating conversations with outsourced customer service reps from another country, i called the 305 number listed above and was connected to someone in the united states. although the call did take one hour to complete, the rep was very helpful. she informed me that unlimited international calling is not really unlimited. if they believe that you are making more calls than the average international caller, they red flag your account and freeze your international long distance until your refill date.

BEWARE, if you plan on making more than 100 minutes of international calling per day, you will be locked out of ILD until your refill date. UNLIMITED IS NOT UNLIMITED!

Screwed Me and My Husband Over

For the past 5 days me and my husband have been calling to try and fix his phone. What happened was there was a mishap online with a phone card we called that night and they took the number that the phone card was applied to and put it on my husbands phone and got rid of his original number, the following day we called again and tried to get his original number back that they switched without our consent. They told us it was no problem to get the original number back to his phone and everything else under the sun. After battling them for 5 days they eventually told us that his original number that they removed was no longer valid and was pretty much in thin air. The whole company including supervisors managers and reps *** us around for 5 whole days until finally my husband just had to use a new number. Now because of them he has to go back through his work numbers and all his contacts to give out his new number and change everything online as well. This company is a rip off and their so called service is out right bullsh!t. Don't go with Straight Talk it will be the worst mistake of your life!

Sent defective phone

I ordered a cell phone from straighttalk.com I ported my number over and went to use my brand new phone. My new phone shuts off by itself every minute or so. It is impossible to do anything on it. I have contacted customer service and was told I will ship the phone to them and they will ship me a new one. This means I will be without a phone for a few weeks. I said I would prefer to just return the phone, go to walmart and get a new one so that way I will not be without a phone. I was told that if I choose to do that I will have to pay for shipping myself. I asked if there was any other way that I could get a replacement phone since I have health problems and cannot be without a phone. I was told no.

Unlimited NOT unlimited. Monitored without my concent. Disconnected 3G unable to call for help.

Straight talk failed service. Have no 3G, no speech to text, all contact gone. Got nothing but run-around from Straight talk. They monitor your use. Unlimited is not unlimited! Got a call from a robot saying I used the radio too much (never used a radio), that I had to disconnect from Facebook. Now how do they know that? Monitoring. Your information is NOT private. Unlimited is NOT unlimited. I am disabled. I couldn't call an ambulance. I couldn't call for help. The first time they disconnected me they tried to blame it on China. The second, they got the phone back on but no data. So I paid for NOTHING. being disabled, I am going to look up people and try to begin a class action lawsuit. Everytime I call to fix the problem I get transferred to "wait forever". Get codes to enter like *2208. Lied to, lied to lies. Scam. Invaders of privacy. Cheats. Anyone disabled want to go in on class action lawsuit? Contact me. My basic loss amount includes the purchase of the phone and one month service card. I'd had the phone for awhile and calculated depreciation. I did not calculate the loss I had missing Doctor appointment and the domino impact that loss had on me.

apparently straight talk is rather devious about warning people they are violating the terms and conditions. in section 6 of data usage under the tac it says and i quote: "Customers will be provided notice and an opportunity to take corrective action with respect to unauthorized uses before their service is terminated." i received no such notice

the foreign person i talked to in customer service told me to look at the bottom of section 6 where it says: "Straight Talk may modify or cancel any Service or take corrective action at any time without prior notice and for any reason, including but not limited to your violation of this agreement."

Worst custom service

Straight Talk has the worst customer service. I have spent three days and many hours try to reach a customer service person, all I have received was recording and the message telling me to call back and hung up on me. My daughter encountered same result. She desperately needs help in solving the problem for swapping to a new phone. It has been three days, she has not been able to reach a live customer service person. What kind business model is this? Do they care about their customers at all? Is this a Chinese company? I am really unhappy with them and will tell everyone about their terrible customer service.

Class action suit???

I too am a victim of the "Straight Talk Bull ***" I have been a loyal customer with them for the past 8-9months. My phone service ran out on the 11th and I purchased a card on the 12th, 4 days later I don't have a phone. I live in the sticks and we can't get a landline phone. After being on the phone with them for half the day I ended up going out and buying another phone and service card. NO...they are not through straight talk. I am so completely dissatisfied with them at this point I am putting in a complaint with the BBB and filing paperwork with my local Attorney General. If anyone is interested in a class action suit please contact me via email... llo9721@***.com remember to keep logs of everything, dates, times and names.

WalMArt "UNLIMITED" FRAUD

They advertise their plan as "unlimted"? It's bull ***. I got a really nasty and threatening voice mail telling me to back down my usage and call an 800 number. They proceeded to ask me a series of questions designed to make it sound like I like I was abusing the data plan. When I questioned it they sent me an e-mail tly and although nowhere in their terms of use do they actually tell you how much data they allow they claim the right to throttle down your connection speed and even terminate your service "at their sole discretion".

Customer service SUCKS

I had coverage issues with my ST service that was using ATT cells so I bought the T Mobile sim card through ST and switched service over. Lost phone service immediately and could not get service back. After 15 hours I decided to call technical support, talked to one guy for over an hour after waiting 30 minutes and got nowhere, tried calling again and waited over two hours on hold and finally gave up. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE period! They are completely under-manned and can't handle the volume of calls. DO NOT SWITCH as it is not worth the few dollars you save.

Awful customer service

Was switching from AT&T to Straight Talk. Bought a Sim and the $45 unlimited plan. I wanted to see if my phone was unlocked so I called tech support up and made sure that if I activate my SIM I would be able to transfer my number later. the Indian tech support person told me that it was possible so I went ahead and activated the SIM. When I went to transfer my number the new tech person said that once a SIM is activated, you can't change numbers. I said ok then send me a new SIM. The person said no you need to purchase a new SIM. Talked with a supervisor and the only english words she knew were you need to purchase a new SIM. I tried to explain to them the economics of sending me a 50 cent SIM card vs losing me as a customer but they were unable to comprehend and continued to tell me that I needed to buy a new SIM card. After that I wrote an email to customer service. They called me back and told me to purchase a new SIM card. If you are reading this and getting annoyed at how many times I use the phrase "you need to purchase a new SIM card" then you have reached the 1st phase of how furious I was when it was all that they could say to me. In conclusion not only do I believe that the customer service is awful, they are complete incompetent *** who couldn't realize the economic benefit of eating a $.50 loss to gain a monthly subscriber. Oh and to top it all off when I activated with T-mobile they said that they can switch numbers on SIM cards all day long.

Thanks for the heads up. Gotta switch from Cricket.

Dropped calls have nearly ruined my business.

I thought Straight Talk would be the solution. But I don't think so now.
