Straight Talk Wireless in Georgetown, California - New phone wont work?

Baught a new phone yesterday and a 45.00 service plan. Transferred service and my same number to the new phone. It took over an hour then once it was done I couldnt send a text or call anyone? I was on phone with a straight talk person for more than an hour. She said it should start up last night. This morning still nothing?? Then a few minutes ago I contacted Straight Talk Tech dept. for help. They said they could help me, but what was I willing to pay. I spent almost $200.00 on phone plus the card. Ive spent enough and Im not paying for help they should be doing for free. Thats B.S. Mary

Straight Talk Wireless - Phone Service Review from Arcadia, California

I had Straight Talk for years and was disappointed with the service. if you call they will use American names if the service is horrible, but if you lie and say you would like to tell their supervisor as well you will hear their real names. If female repetitive answers the phone, hang up immediately. They have proven to be severely incompetent.

Straight Talk Wireless in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota - Straight talk sucks but they are all i can afford

i was on a business trip using google maps and happened to max out my "unlimited" 5 gig of high speed data, for the first time in 10 years....at which time it is suppose to go into 2G or 3G data which is slower but i could have lived with that,,,,but they shut my data off completely so couldn't even send mms messages... i spent 6 hours on the phone with them in one day, and two hours the next..they refused to admit that they shut my data off. they kept telling me i was out of tower range.... so i went and bought another phone and service plan to get data so i could do my business. wahla i had data in the same place they said had no towers... the phone they shut the data off on, has auto refill....three days later when it was refilled my data was back on and when i called them on it , they said their notes said i shut my data off on my phone and wouldn't turn it on.....i was fit to be tide now i have to take the new phone back and lose out on 15 days of service on the activation card i bought....thinking about switching cuz the service is getting worse all the time.....they suck

Finally got thru to customer service.....added my useless card so it wasn't wasted completely ...still not much worth doing much on here seeing how all my data. Packets are being. Routed through China and being inspected for personal info and passwords etc.

My phone network is hacked running through a proxy server going through China. And straight talk isn't taking calls I've got a $55 card that's useless to me now did a hard factory reset not clearing it up...so it is their network that is hacked...and they won't take calls ...burying their head in the sand and hiding from customers. You shouldn't have your cards on the shelves when y'all know they are worthless right now we can't get refunds for them when we buy them...if I can't even load thru the app because the network is not secure I'm not going to add it online there's no point in using a hacked data network ....they need to compensate us for this BIG HUGE INCONVIENCE!!!!!!!!! I will be going to walmart tomorrow...and make sure they know they are selling useless junk ....a lot of blackout on the web about this issue .. So I'm gonna make as much noise as possible...since they can't do the right thing and let people know what's happening ...let people buy your junk when it doesn't work is bad business.

Straight Talk is responsible for their horrible customer service, but not they really have no control over how calls and data gets routed. They just buy service from Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and possibly others and those carriers provide the service.

I'd like to know what makes you think your calls have been hacked and are routed through China.

Just hung up from dealing with "customer service." The call took nearly 20 minutes. I needed to update my credit card information. You would have thought I was buying a house. Had to repeat my address, credit card information and passwords 4 different times. When I questioned all of this, Mr."Todd" got snippy. Stated "Well if you would stop talking I would explain it to you." I'm a nice person but this was just about enough..So told Mr. "Todd" I would no longer be a Smart Talk Wireless customer. His response was priceless "Well we are sorry but millions of others are satisfied with our service and I will now end this transaction. He said good-bye and hung up. So now I'm phone hunting. I would rather try to communicate using two tin cans and a string than deal with this rinky *** operation one more minute. I'm writing this review only as a cautionary tale for others considering going this route. I've lodged at least 20 complaints(with no resolution), called "customer service" more times than I can recall, I've paid for data that neither my nephew or I have ever been able to use, the phones are a piece of refurbished ***(though they were supposed to be new). I miss text messages, phone calls, can't send pictures from my phone and the whole experience has been a nightmare. By the way I've only been a customer since July. RUN THE OTHER WAY DO NOT BECOME INVOLVED WITH THESE JERKS!!!!!
