Pages will not load on Unlimited $55

So every since I bought the unlimited $55 plan . Unlimited text talk and calling . 60GB . It seems that the websites that I use the most are taking FOREVER to load. So I tested it. I went on a different sites and it loads in like .2 seconds . Then , I tried different browsers . And fast on all the other sites , but super slow on the ones I Use most offten. So I turn my phone off and back on and it works good for maybe 2 min , then it loads slow again!!! So, I just don’t understand. It seems to me that they are tracking how much data I can use one a single website ! And I know it’s not the website it’s self because I use the same website on WiFi with no problems at all. If this is the answer to the case and they really are slowing down data on sites that are used too much.... does it really matter where I use all my data ?? I pay for the unlimited, I should be able to get unlimited, and use it wherever I please

Unbelievable!!

Bought a hotspot with the thinking that since I like my phone service, that the hotspot service would be good as well. But thus far, the service is proving to be anything but good. The night I got the hotspot I charged it up only. The next morning I went o configure it. Got all the way to make my hotspot secure. It would circulate & circulate, and time out. after several attempts, got on the phone with customer service. Customer service rep would start going through the same process, and get as far as I did, they would get frustrated and tell me to hang on while they transferred me to another rep. Finally after three reps assisting me in a 45 minute period of time. The last rep stated she didn't know what to do either, and tried to blame it on my computer. Here I am a week later, and being able to use it, but as a unsecured network only! Now to give Straight Talk the benefit of the doubt, I had tried other equipment such as another laptop, a Kindle pad & my phone, but the problem still exist. I even thought of the time of day might be the issue. Slower speeds with more users using the network, that however does not change my circumstances. So in short, versus taking 40 minutes or more again with the company, I will seek a friends help whom is a IT tech and whom I can understand. Unfortunately, between the background noise of the reps at straight Talk, poor headsets with mic's that are not clear over the phone, and many reps whom do not speak English well, the service is poor!

That I’ve seen Straight Talk offer no assistance to the hurricane victims in Georgia and Florida is appalling. I’ve been in their shoes during Ike, Rita, and recently Harvey, and communication is key to survival. Verizon and a couple others stepped in during these disasters and put peoples lives above profit and didn’t suspend their customers lines for payment. They put their customers well-being above profits. I understand this is prepay service, but would it really be so devastating to Walmart to help these people who lost everything out? Just another nail in the coffin of contempt for the most greed driven corporation in the country. Nice job Walmart. I guess there’s nothing as important to you as stock prices and dividends.

Rude reps.

I called for help on why my phone is acting up. I called on numerous times i always do what they ask me to do.

Turn off the phone, turn it back on etc. They have even updated the phone. I have taken the sim card out and read them the last 4 nunbers. Nothing seems to be working.

Then to top it off, I talked to the rudest nastiest reps ever. He was just plain rude and disrespectful till I just hung up on him.

I'm already having a bad day and to be on the phone with a jerk like him just took me over the edge. I would like to speak to a supervisor if i can.

They don't REALLY care that you have a problem with their service. Once they have your money, they couldn't care less about any issues you may have.

These crooks have been ripping everyone off with the same scams. Spread the word to EVERYONE you know, and ask them to do the same. #StraightTalkSUCKS #StraightTalkTHIEVERY #StraightTalkPIRATES...BTW...robot Maria won't help.

Just a form response which will give you the same response that you got from the customer service rep. Mariabot is just something to give the ILLUSION of caring.

I have had Straight Talk for a while now. My daughter moved 2 hours away and I could not get service at her house. So I looked on line at the map on straight talk and went to my Walmart then to her Walmart and picked a phone that said it had service in both areas. When I got to her house I had no service. I called straight talk and the first rep. told me I needed to buy a new sim card that supported Verison, he transferred me to a second rep. who told me that I couldn't get service unless I changed my phone number. I changed my number and still don't get service at her house. I have spent so much money and am so disgusted. Not to mention I had trouble understanding any of their representatives. It says press 1 for English and I get a foreigner. NOT HAPPY and looking for another carrier!!!!!

Did S.T.wireless try to contact...? *** NO What steps were taken to resolve this? NOTHING - they have NO “customer service” !

I’m a National Park volunteer, on a mountain top, with cell phone reception and got a HotSpot and data plan at Walmart for the month I would be here. The 1st one, 7 GB lasted FOUR days!

I was getting online for only 3 things: check Yahoo email, study a language at Duolingo, and watch YouTube guitar tutorials. I got a ride, 30 miles, to go to the nearest Walmart to get a 5GB data plan, and cut out the YouTube videos. The data was expired in 5 days. That is $125 for 9 days to be on line for about 2 hours a day.

I would NOT suggest S.T. Data to someone I hated - it SUCKS!

Yes I have something to say !! I wish had read these reviews before I wasted my money on these hotspot plans they say on the cards -2 months - what a lie ! I will be telling everyone I can about this ripoff!!

Not happy about not having hotspot option on my phone anymor

I use the ultimate unlimited plan and now my new phone dont have the hotspot option well it does its just blocked by them i know this to be fact but if im paying for it why do they care how i use it

Beware Cancellation of autopay does not mean they quit charging

I cancelled service 2 weeks ago for a number I would no longer be needing. I followed the instructions and got confirmation that the phone was cancelled, and I followed the instructions to cancel the autopay, but it was not cancelled.

Today I see a pending charge on my bank statement for the next monthly charge so I call the help line. First I get someone on the line that cannot even confirm that the phone service was cancelled and she gives me the same number to call back, can't transfer me. I called back again and got another (non-American) who at least could confirm that the phone had been cancelled, but said the autopay was not.

I was then transferred to a "refund" department where I was again told that the autopay had not been cancelled and he would be glad to do it for me but because it had not been cancelled that they would not refund the charge for the phone no longer in service. He suggested I go to the bank and have them stop payment on the charge.

Cell Phone Cut Off by Straight Talk Rep 3/3/18

i called the cell phone company called straight talk to get some information that i needed because i had plan to change cell phone use later on after my 30 days services was over with them. I explained to the non English speaking women my situation and to why i was going to change over for my betterment and cost wise for myself a old senior citizen on retirement.

As i asked the question of what i needed the oriental non not well trying to speak English woman got really rude and hateful to me over the cell phone as i was asking my questions of what i needed from her so that i could be able to keep my cell phone number that i currently had she was so dam rude and loud the room that i was in with my friend and the nurse at the hospital could hear her and the way that she was speaking to me this was really un called for now she was Rep for straight talk cellular company that sales there item at walmart to many customers they heard her rudeness and as i was trying to talk she told me she was going to show me something she CUT off my cell services that day in which i still had over 900 minutes still left of service on 3/318 i was cut off no cell phone for over a month i called the next day 3/4/18 again a non English speaking man answered the phone kept me on hold off an on for 57 min then told me i cut my phone off on 3/2/18 I told him i never cut off my cell why would i cut off my cell when i still had over 900 cell minutes left of services days minutes to use. I called and ask a question of how could i be able to use the same number when i wished to change services at one point and time for cheaper reasons for myself. I am or was a customer and should be able to change services when i got ready after all this is a free country that i live in isn't it? But these people that are hired that can not speak English very well and we can not understand them and have try and get them to repeat or to talk slower to try and understand them then they get angry at us/you because we can't understand them at all they become so rude and ugly in tones back to you the customers that are buying there or these products in the being .

And a store like Walmart is selling it to us the American customers each month with our earned money that is keeping them in business and we have to be put down cursed at talked to so un-rudely and then have my cell cut off because i want to change to another cellular company it's my money that i am using after all not there's. And the BBB want help at all because i opt not to stay or take a offer from straight talk services to keep making me use them with there offer want to give me a new cell number and new 1500 minutes to stay with them when i want to opt out from there use in the first place they tried to make me stay again with them make me keep them when i have been put down and spoken to so rude and been up set and with out service for days and weeks. I thought i was free to decided what i wanted or whom i wanted us in America... I serviced in the military service i had the choice of the Army, Navy , Air Force, or Marines I liked the color Green so i choice the Army to served in i volunteered for my country military service.

And with straight talk they wanted me to except a new straight talk cell number because they cut me off in first place in which was so wrong all because of my asking a simple questions, the Rep got pissed off at me for this then the Corporate office wanted me to except a new cell number because it had been cut off by them she sent the wrong SIM card numbers to me i had to wait week for a SIM card she wrote the wrong numbers down to reactivate with and the offer expired days before giving me a new cell number with minutes that they took and i refused to take a new change she then the Corporate lady Betty Butler, offer to change and to keep them straight talk, that is as the cell provider on for me any i made a counter off this way i would NOT have to deal with them any longer She re-canter and close the case on me on 4/9/18.

I received NOTHING AT ALL . With my complaint i sent in evidence from the people that was in the room that heard this straight talk Rep being rude and so nasty to me over the cell phone i even still had my cell minutes card numbers when i purchase the card from Walmart with my 977 min left on it in March 2018

Bad Phones Bad Service

I had a samsung s4 it broke couldn't get another s4 so I bought a cheaper samsung it didn't last a year one day screen went black Iordered a s5 reconditioned charged it up screen showed battery charged turned it on nothing screen was black ordered a 10.00 phone waited 3 days for it and shipping label then 15 days for replacement they sent a s6 which does not take a sd card so i checked storage capacity only 32 gb i use a 32 gb card plus i need at least 16gb in the phone decided to keep it so at least i could be back in business hard to be by computer all day cheap phone was out of internal space in 4 hours activated s6 loaded some apps i needed and tried to make a call phone called out landline phone rang yeah all is good so I tried to make a call and screen showed it called could not hear anything hit speaker and could hear turn off speaker nothing I don't think its cool walking around like a wannabe on speaker phone so i reactivated the junk phone today i was waiting on a text didn't get nothing so I tried a call no service so i went back to my computer phone was inactive and service plan was gone now back to customer support for 30 min they finally got everything restored. I am back in limp mode until another replacement phone gets here so recoditioned to factory new is a lie straighttalk you will love our phone love our service is a LIE not one month this year have i not had a problem

Don't waste your time

I personally have four Straight Talk account on three different phones.. there bring your own phone has three SIM cards for $45..

but if you activate 1 and realize its towers don't have good service around where you live... May not 9 the service difference between the three cards through the other two away.. a small little SIM card they won't mail me so I can have decent service.. I want to go spend another $45 on a whole nother kit for a whole another line that I don't need over a little simple SIM card that every other carrier gives you free...

And their customer service sucks.. so I'll take my four accounts back to Verizon because there prepaid family plan comes out about the same amount.. but it comes with unlimited free SIM cards.. and from my experience with customer service is crap put still 10 times better than Straight Talk...

If you want carry multiple phones on an account then spend a few extra dollars.. because with Straight Talk something as simple as a small SIM card they going to charge you $45 if you're having a *** day and somebody decides to walk away with your phone
