Horrible, the worst Customer service ever | Straight Talk Wireless review from Eugene, Oregon

I am trying to Bring My Own Phone --BYOP-- and so far I have spent about three hours on three separate phone calls trying to get my and my husband's phones first registered and then activated after we get the sim cards in the mail. We got one of the two sim cards pretty quickly, but the other never came. After a week I called and they said the second one was returned as undeliverable, although the address was identical to the one we received, and the order filled out by the same person. When we had them both I tried to activateonline and set up my payment account, but it assigned me a new phone number instead of keeping my original one, which I had clearly indicated I wanted to do. When I called about that they said it had not 'gone through' (the account setup done online) and I had to redo all of it. There are numerous long strings of numbers you have to give them--IMEI #'s, sim card #'s, former verizon account #'s--and repeat them because the representatives are probably not native English speakers and the phone signal is not very clear. To their credit, the representatives were each very polite, but did not comprehend me well at all. Eventually they deactivated my phone to try and start over so I could get my original # back. After a few hours I had my data back--email, google search etc, but my phone function still does not work. On their online chat service, the representative kept posting non-helpful blurbs about calling their toll free #, saying they could not tell what the problem was because the initializingprocess with the various carriers is 'automatically generated' and suggested I call the toll free # though I told them that I had no phone service at all now. When I asked for a supervisor the same person said she would/could look into it. After about ten more minutes she chat texted back that it can take up to 24 hours for the process to automatically complete. We shall see! I really hope so because if it ever gets up and running we will save about $600 year for 2 lines.

It says unlimited data but it is only 5 GB because of the horribly slow speeds for everything after 5gb. You can't load anything up at all. I used 3gb on YouTube alone which is well over half. I really wish they made it slighlty faster so i can use what i payed for!!

WTF is this iI am only half into my service they advertise 5GB and my phone only shows 2.5GB used since i activated my service. and when i text 611611 it says i used 5.01 GB of data and its not true. Its funny how they say "ESTIMATED DATA USAGE" *** thieves.
