Straighttalk doesnt honor the $55 unlimited wireless plan AT ALL. They stop delivering the wireless service at 6g. This plan is WORTHLESS.

Abosulutly terrible

I called to have my number swapped to a new phone, and I wanted to keep my number, the put a complete different number on the new sim card I called on with the new service plan.

I called them back to have them swap the number and then they said they could not do that because it was against there procedures, when asked to talk to someone above them ( Monica 525122) Said she was as hire as I would be able to go. And nothing was going to change.

My only options was to lose the number that I had ( which is for a business phone) or lose the 50 dollars for the plan, it was one or the other. I told them they just lost a customer, on top of everyone else that I could keep away.

WAIST OF MONEY

I brought the hotspot and hooked it up yesterday night 6/29/18 and cut it off as soon as I was done. Got up today to use it and it wouldnt work called straight talk and after they waisted 40 minutes of my time they tell me I used all my data. A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY $40 I CAN'T GET BACK BUT GLAD I GOT MY MONEY BACK FOR THE HOTSPOT

Lack of Service / Refusal to Refund Phone

I had been with StraightTalk for several years, but for the last year my service had declined to the point I could not make or receive a phone call unless I went outside my house. People with different services could use their phones, but mine would not make connection. Starting in August 2017 I tried working with ST to fix the problem. First we changed out the SIM card, no better. Then they had me send in my older phone and they sent me a replacement. I still had no service, so I was obliged to find another provider. Since then I have chatted, texted, messaged, phoned and written to corporate. All I get is a runaround. I've been lied to, hung up on and ignored. The rep on the phone never has any knowledge of the case, rarely speaks clear English, and does nothing except push me off to another phone number or link where they have a prepared list of phrases to say "sorry for the inconvenience, there's nothing I can do for you." I have made multiple requests for callbacks so I could speak with someone familiar with my case, and I have had days and days of my time wasted waiting for those calls only to be hung up on, rescheduled, and put right back in the same loop. I finally got a callback, and I was fed a bunch of prepared buzzwords like “technology exchange?” and “networking problem” and “we are unable to processes anything at this time” Why can they do nothing? Because my phone is past the 30 day warranty period. I've been trying to work something out with them for 4 months, but they "cannot process anything at this time" because my phone is past the 30 day Warranty Period. I was offered two suggestions: 1. Sell the phone to a StraightTalk customer 2. Buy my own phone elsewhere and activate a new account with them that might work. First of all, I wouldn't sell my phone to an unsuspecting StraightTalk customer. Not even an enemy. Second...how stupid would I have to be to engage in business with them again? I've seen the lack of customer support. It's not like they are the only wireless company in the world. I tried everything to resolve this issue, only to have my time, money and energy consumed by StraightTalk. All I want is to return their phone and get a refund. Why should I be stuck with a worthless phone because they could no longer provide the service they promised? FCC and BBB next.

Maria, this looks like more of the same runaround I've been getting, and if your customer support keeps any kind of records at all you already have all my contact information. Your purpose is to take the conversation offline so you can blow me off again.

That went exactly as expected. I sent the email with my contact information only to get a reply:

"Hi.

We are sorry for the trouble. What seems to be the problem?"

I emailed the contents of this page and immediately got the expected response:

"We are sorry for the trouble that you have encountered. I have already reviewed your account. Upon checking, we cannot provide a refund nor unlock this phone."

That's the only response I ever get - steer the conversation away from public eyes, then a flat denial of resolution.

Blow me off for 4 months, then tell me you can't refund my phone because it is past the 30 day warranty! Worst customer service ever.

I feel so silly! Looking through the complaints on this site I see that StraightTalk just uses the same robo-answer for everyone.

And everyone gets the same results. Nothing.

I got another email from StraightTalk telling me my “case was being escalated” and I would get a call within 24-48 hours. The call came through, but, as usual, it was a horrible connection and even when I could hear the rep I couldn’t understand her very well.

This has been a common complaint I’ve been reading online, and I feel really stupid that I didn’t catch on before this….that bad connection and poor communication is on purpose! That purpose is to irritate, confuse, annoy and frustrate. It is intended to waste your time and drive you away with your problem unresolved.

This call was just more of the same.

My case is quite small compared to some of the horror stories I have been reading, I want reimbursement of $99 for a useless phone.

Many other people are out hundreds and hundreds of dollars and getting the exact same runaround as I am getting now. I have tried to work with StraightTalk in every way, and it is completely obvious that is going nowhere. They will not unlock, they will not refund. They will waste your time until you give up in sheer disgust and screaming frustration.

Ok.

We will go in a new direction. #BBB #FCC

I know I will never get a refund, but I WILL spread the word far and wide about the horrible service you can expect from this company.

I never heard from the company even after contacting the the head office. Just take your money they do to care i do not know what else to do Even phone call will not be return

3 HOURS ON THE PHONE

I just spent 3 hours on the phone with Straighttalk. I have a screenshot of the time (as it was my computer phone) to prove it. The last hour was with the so called "Head office" in Miami.. which I got through to after being on the phone for almost 2 hours. Finally the "Manager" . listened to what I said, said "hold on" put me on hold and after 10 minutes the line went dead. After about 8 years with Straight talk, I'm moving on. I was told 3 different things by people in the Philppines and here, they don't put you through to Miami until you've wasted your time for 2 hours and they are rude. So very rude. I just activated a new phone which has the wrong phone number on it and they are refusing to change it for a month after the reason it's the wrong number is that the sim card I PURCHASED FROM THEM WAS DEFECTIVE and Head Office in Miami said we'll send you a new one but with this other number on it. ???? And they couldn't give me a different sim with no number so I could bring my own. They are absolutely outrageous. Enough.

I think that I've made a big mistake switching to Straight Talk Wireless

I have NEVER experienced such a horrible Website as the Straight Talk Wireless site. It was IMPOSSIBLE to activate my new phone when I switched to STW and had to do it by phone; now I just tried to set up an account. It didn't accept my password so I went through the process of setting up a new one. And what do you know? Suddenly your screwed up Website wouldn't accept that one either! I feel like I've made a terrible mistake signing up with STW and buying a new phone to boot. Your Website is positively the WORST I have ever tried to use. I am very close to shutting down this whole deal with STW and finding a more user friendly company to do business with. I am REALLY pissed off! AND, I just tried to send this to support@***.com and wouldn’t you know – it came back as undeliverable. What the *** kind of a company are you running?

Straight talk is terrible

i used to love straight talk but now i hate them the service is aweful i never have 3g and sometimes my service dissappear all together this is unacceptable. if i didnt have wi fi i couldnt even write this review as my service has shut down completely. this is not a signal issue i am at my house and it has worked here for three years. i just bought minutes last week so my service is active

I have contacted your dept 2 times and they act like im talking another language. I am trying to get my cell bill to fall on 1 the month.This month i turned it on 1 or 2 so i went 3 days without cell even tho im disabled. But now im sent message saying they turning it off tommorrow. The guy says it cant be adjusted to 1. Which i asked for his supervisor which i ended up hung up on. Anyways if you cant adjust to the first which should work cuz my check comes then. If not can i take my straight talk phone to boost. So far everytime i asked them for help i got it i had them 2 yrs prior to you. Here is my device id

Service disabled after automatic payment was processed

My automatic payment was processed today. It went through properly. I checked my account. I can see that I have 1500 minutes and 30 days left.

I updated the phone with the *22890 number to no avail.

But my service was disabled for no apparent reason.

Adding 65 "word"s to meet 100 word minimum.

Refuse to unlock MY phone

I purchased an iPhone directly from Apple so I wouldn’t be under contract with any cell carrier. I had straight talk service for 3 months and decided to switch carriers.

Straight talk has a lock on MY phone. They won’t unlock a phone unless you have service with them for 12 months. It is MY phone. I did not buy a straight talk phone as to not be tied to any particular carrier.

I tried to speak to a “supervisor” who told me he had nothing else to say to me when I asked for information and he hung up on me. The customer service is horrible. This is dishonest company. Beware!

Straight Talk Is Ripping Me Off

Hi. I just bought a new Straight Talk phone & I called Straight Talk to ask them to tranfere my phone number from my old phone to my new phone & was told that all I needed to do was switch my sphone, g galaxy 6 sim card over to my samsung galaxy 8 phone & automatically it would be switched over.

I think somebody was taking the easy way out of doing their job bec it worked for a while & I gave my 19 year old daughter my samsung galaxy six phone & today we bought her a card. I had 10 left on my time plus a card on reserve. The second she activated her phone, they deactivated mine. We have different phone number but they linked our account.

They won't let me reactivate my phone. We called & somebody from another country spoke with me on the phone & she gave us the run around before she said there was nothing they could do so I told her that I wanted to speak to a manager & she told me that if I continue to be rude, she will hang up on me so I said I'm not being rude. I just want to speak to a manager & she said, that's it, goodbye. Then she hung up.

When we called back, we got someone else that seemed to be from the same country & she said that she will reactivate my phone but I will lose my time on it plus the card I have on reserve so by this time I'm exhausted so I said fine & she said okay, she'll reactivate my phone & I will keep my phone number. Well, I bought a new card & put it on my phone then I tried making a phone call & my phone is stll deactivated & the card it took went directed to my daughter's phone when I used this phone to do it on line. According to them bec my phone remains deactivated, my phone number is now not in their data base. We have used my daughter's phone to get a hold of them again & have been waiting now for 30 minutes.

I thought the customers were supposed to be treated in a more curtious fashion bec if it wern't for us customers, all the straight talk employees would be without a job.

Us customer pay their bills & I don't think they realize that. I could at it to my yelp review & see how many customers drop their straight talk.
