Straight Talk Wireless review in Charleston, South Carolina: Never had a problem until recently

recommended by a friend I purchased straight talk service, got my phone, updated once, automatic renewals monthly, didn't have a problem for several years. now it is one thing after another. I needed an update, they sold me a phone that had a warning window that kept popping up, I called immediately, had to get on another phone, they did something and said it was fixed, once 30 days was up the problem came back. And now they will only send me a replacement but I am done. their customer service is SO BAD sometimes I think they are just messing with me, it is inconceivable that this company exists. obviously I am done with straight talk!!!

I know how you feel. I have been phoneless since Xmas eve.So part of it was my fault.

Two phones later I still have to wait till the 4th for a new sim card. And I will bet the farm that I wil have to go back to Verizon. Gross. They suck even worse.

So tired of dealing with Apu. Speak Engrish.

Straight Talk Wireless - Straight Talk Phone Upgrade Review from Huntley, Illinois

After numerous phone calls, waiting for reps and conversations, one rep said he was doing an upgrade which i think was a lie guaranteeing the problem would be solved. It wasnt. I ended up being rold that i needed to call from another phone. They could have directed me to directions on how to do what they wanted me to do when not using the phone. I ended up spending hours trying to figure it out. Finally found a code to get behind into a hidden page and there it was. A blank in the Smsc phone number. A little more search and plugged in the number. I was not able to text at all for days as i had no access to another phone and they were no help with such a simple solution. You're on your own with these guys. The second level woman tech was rude too.

So much for that. After 3 days I then get another email from some *** at Corporate telling me they can't find my record and that they need my phone imei number.

The bottom line is they screwed my and lost my phone number in the process which was my business number as well. Needless to say, I returned to Verizon and brought my wife's phone back as well. So they lost 2 numbers and not just one.

If you're reading this and still want to use this incompetent company for your phone service good luck.

You'll need it. If you're Straight Talk don't be surprised if you receive a letter from my attorney seeking damages.

Screwed again by StraightTalk and now I find out Wal-Mart as well. Having phone problems and after doing some things with Apple Support it would appear that it is my service that is the problem. Called StraightTalk and worthless as usual with one exception. I ported to them from Verizon with a CDMI iPhone 4S. While talking to the manager at StraightTalk he advised me I have a GSM phone now. Something that wasn't told to me by Wal-Mart when I bought the $649.00 iPhone. As far as I am concerned it was outright fraud that I wasn't told this. I have been wondering why I have problems with the service and also in my travels why I have no signal when I used to have it. Now I know.
