I purchased a Straight Talk mobile hot spot a few months ago had no problems until two wks ago when it started using a $25 card/2GB data within a few days. This was without changing internet usage (no videos, downloads, etc.). I've called customer service daily and was lied to every day it was something different. They tried to get me off the phone lft me on hold for an hr waiting to speak with manager. The last time they were called I'd had it, my $25 card/2GB of data was gone in two hours. Customet service just kept repeating iver & over your data is used up...no more data. I said, you're not hearing me, this problem I did not have before and I want you to figure out why its happening, then again repeated you have no more data, your data is gone. By this time im ticked off good and said get me a manager, he gets on the line and starts repeating same thing the rep did. I asked if he could get this fixed after. After much time, he said he would look into it further he'd call me back; no call. We had Straight Talk for 4yrs and never had a problem, now after two weeks of dealing with no access and the worst customer service EVER, I'm switching service!!! Four yrs of no problems is not worth two weeks of trying to deal with this *** company and horrific customer service!!!

I was told my nationwide service basicly won't work outside the zipcode where i activated it. First trip out of town most attempted calls just got (you are roaming). Poor excuse for a nationwide phone plan!

Long time customer....it doesn't matter to them

I ordered two sim cards for an unlocked phone. Fed -Ex was the carrier. They show up after waiting 4 days and put a door tag on my door while I and another family member, and dog were home. They did not bother to knock on the door, even though two cars are in the driveway. So I call Straight Talk and they could have cared less. The rep told me that was my problem even though they set up the delivery so I would have to sign to receive the 2- 99 cent SIM cards. They do not care about their customers being pleased with the experience their hard to understand phone people provide, in any way. I'm looking for a new provider but the options are even worse unless you want to pay over double for service.

Been a customer with St firvyears then dec 31 i had my accountvteansferred to a new phine,, took almostva werk and a half to get my sims card,,after they sent me2 incirrect cards,, finally got the right one ,,had service 9 days then st told me i had used my 5 gb of data and dropped me down to 2 gb in which icant t get on internet,, im doing defferent on my phone that i did before and i never went over my data,, but since christmas they say i used my limit in 9 days,, i have argued untill im blue in the face!! Still no straight answrrs from straight talk,, *** customer setvice and no hinest answers,, im going to legal dept and maybe we will go into arbertration! Im done!

Straight Talk Wireless - Cell Phone Replacement Review

I have been a Straight Talk customer for years... Up until about 2 months ago I didnt have too many complaints about my service but the way that I have been treated and the countless hours that I have spent on the phone talking to at least 20 different people about a problem that they caused... About 2 months ago I went and bought myself a new Galaxy Core Prime phone for $200.00.. It wasnt more then a month after I bought the phone when I started having lots of problems with it. Problems that were not caused by me or by something I did, it was a defect or something? Around the same time my daughter's phone also straight talk but a cheaper phone was having similar problems so I called Straight Talk and talk to them about the problems and they agreed to give me replacement phones after I sent in both of our phones... so they sent me the prepaid FedEx package and paperwork so that I could send my phones in to get replaced. Nobody told me that you could only send one phone in the package not both phones so I filled out the paperwork with both of my phone's information. Both IMEI numbers my signature we even took pictures at the FedEx before sending it. So after a few days I called straight talk to track my package and to find out how long it was going to be until we received our new phones because we were left without a phone while I was getting replaced. They told me that our phones would be here within 3-5 days... in 3 to 5 days my daughter's replacement phone was returned to us but not my phone. Mind you her phone is worth $20 mine is worth 200. So I call Straight Talk only to get the runaround and to get told that they never received my phone. I continue to argue with numerous different employees of Straight Talk telling them that that was impossible. If they received my daughter's phone then they had to have also received mine. They were in the same package and I had my receipt my tracking number and all the information from FedEx plus the pictures that I took of the packaging and the paperwork before I sent it off they continued to transfer me to numerous different people and numerous different departments only to waste hours and hours of my time and to call me a liar and to tell me that their warehouse never received my phone still and it's been over 2 months and I still have not received my replacement phone nor have I received my phone back. I'm not sure what to do next or what more that they want from me. Also none of their dates match up to the dates on my FedEx papers were the dates that I have when I sent and received from them. All's I want is my $200 back or a brand new replacement phone for the $200 that I spent which is only fair since my phone was under warranty and was only about a month old and they agreed to replace it plus I have all of my paperwork proving myself but still I have no resolution and I don't know if I can take another minute arguing with them on the telephone just to get nowhere. Is this even legal for them to treat me this way and keep treating me this way? Can they just say they never received my $200 phone in the mail and never reimbursed me for anything even if I have all of my receipts proving that I sent it to them in the FedEx package that they sent me? And is it even legal for them to call me a liar and to not reimburse me for providing me with service that doesn't even work half of the time? My dad lives in the same town as me and my phone doesn't even ring most of the time or show that I had a missed call, and sometimes my text messages take 4-6 hours to receive.. I cant believe how rude and unprofessional this company really is to they're loyal paying customers. This has caused a huge headache and has wasted a lot of my time and money I would not recommend their service to anyone...

Straight Talk's My Account app is worthless.

I got my first smartphone, accessed Straight Talk's website through the phone, and downloaded the My Account app. I entered my phone number and synced the app to my phone so that I could have reliable information about my account.

Last month I was given an incorrect service end date but figured it was a glitch because it was only off by a few days. This month, the app gave me the service end date of 11/29/16 but shut my service off on 11/14/16. They told me my service end date was 11/13, and that the app telling me the wrong date wasn't their problem. I spoke to 6 people and they all either said or implied that I shouldn't have trusted the My Account app. They're refusing to restore my service until I buy a new service card, but I'm literally incapable of doing that. I didn't put my phone card into the budget for my last paycheck because I trusted Straight Talk, and I have no more money until Friday. They offered to compensate me after I buy the phone card, but nobody listened to me saying that there is no way I'll be able to buy the phone card.

I spoke to a supervisor who condescended to me like I was a hysterical child, refused to listen to what I was saying no matter how I phrased it. I asked to speak to HIS supervisor and was told that he doesn't have one, so he's either lying or he's the CEO of Straight Talk.

I rely on my phone for work. This isn't even an income issue, this has turned into a safety issue. I am a home health aide for a woman who cannot get in and out of her wheelchair by herself. I am the ONLY caregiver she has, and the Straight Talk phone is the ONLY number that I have. If she can't reach me, it jeopardizes her health and wellbeing. But Straight Talk obviously doesn't give a happy ***.

I eventually ended up with a poorly designed chat window where I was only able to enter 400 characters at a time, and was told by a woman (who sounded suspiciously like a computer) that she had escalated my issue to the right department and that it would take 24-48 hours for it to be resolved. So how's my poor client supposed to get by while they diddle around fixing this? If she gets hurt or sick because of Straight Talk's screw-up, we'll be getting a lawyer.

Just FYI for anyone investigating Straight Talk: they have over 3000 Better Business Bureau complaints in this year alone and only 1/3 of them have been resolved. There is also a class-action lawsuit out against Straight Talk.

I feel the stress and anger of everybody. I two am in the same boat which just seems to be sinking bc straight talk doesn't care. I've had straight talk for 6 months now and every month there is a problem and its always a data issue. My first month I I ran out of data a few days before my end date on the $45 plan so I thought well, ok, I didn't like it, but I knew I would have to start buying the $55 so i wouldnt run out of data in the future. WRONG!!!!!!!!! I still run out of data and I always start my service over before my end date forfeiting any minutes I still have. It seems to me that regardless if you buy the 45 or 55 plan they are going to cut you off short a few days or more before your end date. Ive been in many situations where not having data has caused me problems, and one of them was using maps as I was using it out of town, and it took me many miles out of the way bc data signal was lost and it couldn't retrieve my location, and I was in Dallas Tx. So there was no excuse for that when it had worked for most of the trip, and this took place the last few days before my end date. This is bull *** and they know this. Its like they're sitting back laughing at all our complaints. To the customer representative:........ We all have the same complaint so why do we need to individually contact you to fix this. And why should we have to do this every month. If this was an honest company and would abide by their own policy we wouldn't have to go thru this BS every month. Its just not one or two complaining, its everyone that has straight talk....... Keep it up, we will all see this company fail. You can't keep cheating and treating customers wrongly and not expect to fail as a company. You've been doing it for a long time now, and its just a matter of time before some other company steps in and takes over straight talk and becomes the company you once was. KARMA, look it up straight talk and get familiar with the word, so when your company fails and someone asks, "what happened to your multi million dollar company" you can sum it up in one word, (KARMA) = WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND!!

My $600 iphone 5 which i have owned since new at least 4 years is not "eligable" to be unlocked. I switched to t mobile as straittalk has the worst customer service i have ever experienced!...

That is, IF you can ever actually get a real person. So if u choose straittalk, DO NOT BUY AN EXPENSIVE PHONE!

... Because when u leave straitalk (which u will) u will only have an expensive paperweight.

T mobile is such a welcome relief. Customer support and satisfaction is incredible. I just bought a new locked fone from tmobile for $530...

I didnt need it to b unlocked as i will not switch from them.

Straight Talk Wireless: Worst service I have ever had and they lie to you all the time. They are a worthless company you are better off using a set of can and string phones like you played with when you were little kids. They told me my phone was unlocked and it was not. now the only way to unlock the phone is to reactivate it and pay for another year of their worthless service. What a crock of *** I am looking into how to start a class action lawsuit to make straight talk wireless pay to unlock all the phones that have been deactivated because of their lies. Please join me in my fight against them thank you.

I have 2 IPhone 6s that were active with straight talk for over 30 months. When I requested them unlocked because I wanted to transfer to a new carrier, straight talk refused to unlock them. Claimed they phones show new in their system & need to be activated with straight talk for 12 months.

I have had straight talk for years, at first my 5g would last almost the whole month, then it lasted 3 weeks, then down to 2 weeks, then they came out with 10g, the first month, i didnt run out of hight speed, second month and then on, they say i use up 10g within a week and sometimes a week and a half, my data and phone i keep off at work and at night and still theres no differents,

Straight Talk Wireless - Phone Plan Review

I have been using StraightTalk for over 4 years. I'm 59 years old I do not play me games or record videos or stream videos ,music, or movies. I have been doing the same thing with my phone each and every time. I went and purchased a 45$ 5G card when my phone is shut off or when it's about to and add it to my phone. This month is the first time that it took my 45 minute 5 gig high-speed data within one week ( oct. 18th - 26th). I research antiques because its how i make my living. I haven't even done any research yet. I usually run out of high-speed data around the last week of my card. I have lost all my high speed data because as stated bye your technical support they said I used it.that when i up dated my apps, which these phones tell you to do from time to time. I do as it says. He tells me over and over that is why it was used. I told him I'm not a thief or a liar. I told him the only app I have on this phone that isn't built in is a Clean Master to help keep the phone clean and it is also a small app. I have a 16 gig SD card. Messenger Facebook photos are all on it. I called today to find out where my high speed data went. 2 days ago the phone asked me to update apps. It is done this many times in the four years that I have uses phone from straight talk. I have a Samsung Galaxy core prime. I'm 59 years old I do not play any games or videos or stream videos, music, or movies. I've been doing same thing with my phone. For them for years. Nothing has changed and all I can do is keep telling me that I used it I updated my apps. I have no Wi-Fi ,no laptop,No no home computer. I have no cable or hotspot or anything like that. I have been doing the same thing as it is how I make my living for thw last 4 years. So another words what he's telling me is that the phone I purchased from straight talk which tells me to update my apps that are built in to the phone is charging me to update those apps and I've Never Been Told that that's what it does. I've never had any of this happen ever. I'm being punished for doing exactly what's your phone told me to do so that it runs right. I hope that gave you that so many times and I've never had this problem. In fact I've never had this problem ever. Why would I be charged all that valuable high-speed data for doing what your phone told me to do with the apps better built into it. It makes no sense whatsoever and it's absolutely wrong. And the persons that I talk to you first was a lady you couldn't hardly speak English and she told me she had it fixed and that she put it back on and told me all I had to do what shut my phone off and then turn it back on and I would be good. I shut the phone off turned it back on and it wasn't fixed. I shut the phone off pulled the battery out waited a few and then turned it back on still nothing. So I call back again I get in a guy you can't hardly speak English they don't want to hear nothing except for he's telling me that I used it. I said look at my history on my phone and you will see that I always run out towards the end of my plan not within the first week. He told me that he couldn't look back on mine history. Yeah he can sit there and look at the screen and tell me this one time that I get it. But nothing I've done is any different than I always have I asked him to talk to his supervisor he told me he wasn't supervisor. And I hung up on him. So now I'm researching and trying to get to the top. If I do not get my data back. As I did not use it only to do what your phone told me to with apps that you have built in here because I won't be punished neither will I be charged $50 so I can update apps that you all tell me to do. How can the first one the lady tell me that she had it fixed. Then the next person the male does not even look at my side or do what needs to be done to resolve this issue. If I can't get it fixed then I will get off StraightTalk I will tell everybody I know which is quite a few people to get off Straight Talk before it happens to them and I will let people on social media know what will happen one of these days and to change to a different phone provider. I am very angry and disappointed in TracFone and Straight Talk way of doing things. I don't deserve to be punished for updating apps that you all told me to do.
