Happened to me last weekend . in the middle of the night while sleeping . . . my phone was deactivated. . . went to Walmart in the morning and Walmart employee let me use their phone , they had number to customer service rep. . . the rep tried to convince me that I had unknowingly GONE INTO STRAIGHT TALK APP ON MY PHONE and changed my number and told me that I now realized that I wanted my original number back. . . .I had several choice words for him over the next hour. Eventually I got number back that day. Later I BROWSED THE *** OUT OF THE STRAIGHT TALK APP ON MY PHONE . . . and I have yet to find ANYWHERE that u can change your number. I sent an email to customer service explaining the situation IN DETAIL . . .COUPLE DAYS LATER THEY responded with : we r looking into the matter and THEYassured me that I HAD NOT BEEN HACKED. . .

Straight talk, they should be called double talk. I completely understand that after 3 GB of high-speed Internet is used, it's going to throttle back to 64 kB per second, or lower. The only problem is I haven't gotten 3 GB of high-speed Internet. It's so slow it took 53 minutes to download at 300 MB file. I keep getting told that it's my fault, it's my phone's fault,it's the towers fault, a hundred other seasons, and yesterday they told me it was all AT&T's fault. But my favorite excuse, is the one were I was told that it mattered where I was located in my home and if my phone was stationary. I asked stationary, like I'm sitting in one spot or stationary where it needs to be sitting on a table or flat surface. And to my surprise she said sitting on a flat surface. I laughing then, just like I'am laughing now, and the very nice man at AT&T's corporate office that I also spoke to, laughed too. Oh, and they never would give me a estimated speed for their high-speed Internet. I decided to download a Test your speed App. It was a 16 MB app. I put my stopwatch on, and it took 44 minutes to download. That's right 44 minutes to download a 16 MB app. That breaks down to about 5 kB per second.That means it averages about one megabyte per three minutes. Unless I've completely screwed up the math. But after waiting 44 minutes to download the app, I did a speed test with kilobytes as my measure. I took 20 test over a period of time, and then average them out and it came to 5.5 kilobytes per second. That's not even close to 64 kBps. I can't even count the amount of people I've spoken to, the amount of time, ( 8+ hours) I put in trying to resolve this issue. Their customer service isn't the worst I've ever experienced, but is definitely one that given me the most doubletalk I've ever dealt with! I've called Walmart customer service three times they have gotten in touch with straight talk and had it escalated, which didn't help.I plan on calling Walmart back. They seemed interested in giving me a refund, since I don't think I'll get one from straight talk, I will try to get it from them. I've called AT&T customer service just to inform them that straight talk or TracFone is blaming it all on them. Going to find another carrier. I just wanted them to refund me for the last two months I have had their service. But did not receive the service I paid for. I think all any of us want, is the service we paid for. And if anyone is interested, the CEO of the company Frederick J Pollak phone number and home address are listed in the white pages. I called, and was told I was talking to the chef and that Mr. Pollock wasn't home. I think that's *** and it was him on the phone and he just didn't want to hear from a unhappy customer. Can't blame him he has a lot of us.

Returned a Hot Spot to Straight Talk at time the customer service says,15 days. Having copy of return for refund and reference number given at time of returning ,asked for address to return to get refund. Called to ask why refund has not been sent to me. Told from customer service there isnt any information on my return or a reference number for talking to customer service. I was calling number Straight Talk has 877-430-2355. There was no hot spot returned to them, having a tracking number for proof of them receiving it. Talked to supervisor about the returned and told I would get a phone call back within 30 minutes and have not received a phone call or a refund as specified from conversation at time of purchase. It was a purchase on phone not online or in the local store.

Straight talks byop program is a joke. I have brought at least 5-6 different phones from all other companies and they told me the phones are not compatible. I have been aggravated as it gets. I was determined to find a phone compatible and although I could buy a straight talk phone I'm not. Principle!!## I bought a VERIZON s3, made sure it was unlocked and the city I live in is great with straight talk. I called just knowing I would get my new s3 activated with S.T. and wouldn't u know it...... it's not compatible wtf. I have been with S.T. probably since it began and guess what...... I have never in my life been so disappointed in a phone company as Straight Talk wireless aka tracfone.AT&T got several billion in stock in this I wonder whythrottled after 2.5 gigabytes when really you don't use 2.5 gigabytes your apps do without your permission which they are conducting FCC investigations on right now then they tell you you're going to get 65 kilobytes per second and you only get 6 to 8 kilobytes per second and they can call this unlimited I wish I could meet the person who is responsible for the data consumption and punch them in the face all the licensing and contract deals made by the phone manufacturer and the distributor to rob the consumer of their money and not only their money but their right to knowledge their censorship of knowledge. it's very much needed to be addressed again and everyone can say all you can just get a new service provider why why do we have a limitation on how much information we can get and what speed we can get it at all it is is existing technology that they have plenty of space and bandwidth. Crooks and commie bas***** .
