If you're not a potential new customer, you mean absolutely nothing to Straight Talk/Net10/TRACFONE. The only thing that matters to them is new money, and even then, if you have a complicated problem during activation or later, as long as they have your money already, it's too bad, so sad, cry to your dad. Straight Talk/Net10/TRACFONE are thieves, modern day pirates.

Straight talk sent me new 3G phone cause they said they were upgrading from 2G to 3G network in my area. (21921) On phone 2 hrs to transfer service. Turned out data service didn't work when they got done. I kept asking for a refund, but I could see that wasn't gonna happen. I called them every day and was on the line no shorter than 1 hour and each time I was transferred to at least 3 other departments. 7 days later and that many screw-ups by their service department and my data still doesn't work. I guess now I'm trying to use a 3g phone on a 2g network. Soon as my 30 days runs out Im switching carriers.

Just hung up from dealing with "customer service." The call took nearly 20 minutes. I needed to update my credit card information. You would have thought I was buying a house. Had to repeat my address, credit card information and passwords 4 different times. When I questioned all of this, Mr."Todd" got snippy. Stated "Well if you would stop talking I would explain it to you." I'm a nice person but this was just about enough..So told Mr. "Todd" I would no longer be a Smart Talk Wireless customer. His response was priceless "Well we are sorry but millions of others are satisfied with our service and I will now end this transaction. He said good-bye and hung up. So now I'm phone hunting. I would rather try to communicate using two tin cans and a string than deal with this rinky *** operation one more minute. I'm writing this review only as a cautionary tale for others considering going this route. I've lodged at least 20 complaints(with no resolution), called "customer service" more times than I can recall, I've paid for data that neither my nephew or I have ever been able to use, the phones are a piece of refurbished ***(though they were supposed to be new). I miss text messages, phone calls, can't send pictures from my phone and the whole experience has been a nightmare. By the way I've only been a customer since July. RUN THE OTHER WAY DO NOT BECOME INVOLVED WITH THESE JERKS!!!!!

Straight Talk Wireless Service Plan Review from Baltimore, Maryland

While looking on my bank statement, I noticed I was double-charged $33.11 on the same day, on three separate occasions at least a month apart. The proof is shown on my bank statements, but straight talk will only refund one double charge. So, I lose $66 plus dollars that will not be refunded. I wonder how many times this happened over the ten years of service to them which I didn't stumble across. I have cancelled my straight talk plan and will not use them again because they are thieves. Look into cricket wireless. I am totally happy with them as they appeared to have the best data plans in the industry when I researched it.

I had two accounts with Straight Talk. One phone got damaged. A call was made using the other phone. Instead of transferring the damaged phone, customer service cancelled my phone from the two accounts. When I tried calling the company the outsource country was rude. The wrong number was transferred when a phone was damaged. I spoke to one person who just kept repeating what I said, taunting me, instead of fixing the problem. I Tried to get resolve; spoke to manager who hung up on me. I was left stranded without a phone and two babies in the house.

I have had the same problem, I have been out of my phone for over 7 days with two small children and one with a disability. With no consideration about that from straight talk. Straight Talk came high recommended from some of my relatives, but I questioning if I made a good choice with Straight talk.
