Straight Talk Wireless - Phone Plan Review from Lynn, Massachusetts

I've been with ST going on 4 years with real complaints until recently. My plan includes low speed and 3GB high speed data "UNLIMITED" $45 for 30 days. Now after three years of being with ST I've been receiving text messages stating "alloted high speed data limit has been reached" and that my data speed will be reduced for the remainder of my plan's 30 day cycle. ST advertises "UNLIMITED". Never received this text message until recently. now 10 days prior to plan expiring my data speed is reduced. I've called ST several times over the pass 3 months and all I get is a bunch of Tech BS. Obviously ST does not care about their faithful customers.

You have every right to be pissed ST advertises 3gb high speed data and "reduced" speed. after your 3 gb has been breached what they dont tell you is that your data gets reduced to 2g speed which is ridiculous.

I believe they are falsely advertising and deceiving the public. I just found this out recently as well and im currently looking for a new wireless provider.

I made the mistake of buying a 3 month card. My data is less than desirable.

Good thing I have other means of internet. Straight Talk's claim of Unlimited talk, text and data is misleading. I have read the fine print, and Straight TALK does puts caps on data. I will be going back to contract service.

Paying 130. Dollars for service I cannot useis silly.

I had a straight talk phone. When I attempted to enter new service card, there were "technical problems" or so I've been told.

Tried talking with managers but kept getting cut off.

Long story short, due to problems entering card, they cut my service and immediately gave my number to someone else. My Dad has Straight Talk and because of this plans to switch companies.

Straighttalk cust serv is non-existant. If you have a choice, go with another carrier | Straight Talk Wireless

After adding a $30 plan to my phone, after my $45 plan ran out, my txt msgs were not working properly. I called ST and after they "fixed" the problem, I could no longer use my phone to make calls or txt! I got online to the live Chat, only to have more and more and more problems, and having the cust serv people drop my conversation TWICE, so I had to get back in the *** for another "chat." There is no getting around the brain-dead *** who answer the phone; nobody trains these people, except to tell them to hang up on you. You can;t escalate your call to a supervisor or tech support person; all you can do is play nice with the *** on the other end and hope to God that they get it right once in awhile and your phone works when you are done. I also had problems getting them to fix my voice mail system, which THEY screwed up in the first place. Tomorrow, another plan is set up to be added to my phone (on reserve) and if I have more of these problems tomorrow, I will definitely look for another carrier; I have had far too many problems with these people, and the real problem is that the big wig executives have no concern for customers who leave, because they have such a high profit margin w/using these foreigners and not paying to train them, they could not possibly care less if a few people drop their service... it's a sad, sad world we live in, people, where the greedy get richer, and the honest people can't get ahead...

@AlexTrac -Thanks, i noticed at 3:00 AM i forgot to pay my bill the day before, could not reactivate my phone on their site because it said i needed to call support. Well their support is 8AM-12AM, so no one answered, but your chat link worked, i was able to chat with an agent and get my service reactivated. THANKS A BUNCH!

I bought the lg optimus smart phone and I have had troubles from the get go! When the battery dies and you turn it back on, you can send text messages and not receive them. I lost 2 jobs because of this and when I call the customer service to explain what happen they just give you the same Bull$#!t run around in some foreign language you can not understand! I also have a problem with the screen going black during a phone call and not coming back on. In short this phone is garbage and the customer service is a pile of ***! This company is scam and they have no sympathy for there customers. I am taking them to court for loss of wages and breaking a contract. Stay away from this plan!

I have bought a $45.00 unlimited talk text and data from straight talk and they have told me that I went over my useage I talked to the manager Isabella ID# 516220 and she was telling me about the terms and conditions and I asked her in what paragraph to look at with the pamphlet that came with my phone and instead of her pointing it out on the pamphlet she told me to go look online and no where in the pamphlet does it say that you have a certain amount of useage on unlimited data my phone number is 618-306-5516

At 2.5 GB, the data speed will be throttled to 2G speed for the remainder of the 30-day cycle. Thanks.
