Straight Talk Wireless in Richmond, Virginia - POOR customer service

The reception has been overall pretty good with straight talk, however please don't ever have to get a new phone. My husband has encountered 3 different situations with straight talk in which his business phone has been turned off, even though we have the unlimited plan. When one phone broke and a new one purchased we were still charged for the old and new phone. The worse part is that each time there is a problem I am on the phone no less than an hour and up to 2 1/2 hours. This is very annoying. Please get people who can understand English.

Straight Talk Wireless in Leeds, Alabama - Phone cut off before time exporation

I usually buy the 30 dollar 1000 minute plan. Further, I always set my phone call timer to 00:00:00 hrs.so as to keep an account of my time usage. For the last 6-8 months straight talk has cut my phone off about 2 hours before my time is expired. When you call to explain the service malfunction you always have to talk to a service rep., 2 supervisors and a manager for about an hour or more. As of late they refuse to correct the problem. My wife had the same thing happen to her with straight talk refusing to correct the problem. I sure that we are not the only ones experiencing this problem...Lets assume 4 million customers at 2 hrs per month that's 8 million dollars per month times 12 months that's 96 million a year. I'm no accusing straight talk management of this per se...but it does give you something to watch and think about.

Straight Talk Wireless in Seattle, Washington - Straight talks unlimited service is straight unlimited ***

I just recently started the straight talks so called "Unlimited Plan" and with in two weeks i start realizing my brower service is reacting slow my music player wont allow any music to play so of course i call and ask why my services are being delayed not sure if my phone had caught a virius or not but apparently they said i had been streaming or downloading movies online ???? I explained to them how i only used my phone for calls an as my phone has mp3 capabilities i have been listening to my music from the mp3 i was informed i would recieve a notification an upon receiving this notifcation i would need to purschase another unlimited plan pin and services would be restored to unlimited services i explained that i had just activated the phone two weeks ago an it made no sense that an "unlimited" monthly service i had only used for two weeks should need to be purchased again the rep than went on to explain that i had probably exceeded my data usage i asked her how? And she said maam have you been streaming or downloading movies off the internet i said no i only use my mp3 player through the phone and access my phone calls she said you need to do that through the wifi you have used all your data useage for this month and in order for thier unlimited plan to work i should have been using wifi for the unlimited service to apply i than explained how they should have stated unlimited monthly service providing your using wifi an simply stating unlimited monthly service was false advertisement an i would no longer be using thier services nor will i ever recommend thier services to anyone

Nothing you have said in here is true or factual sorry... i use my phone to run my computer through tether...i stream pandoria...i watch youtube videos and on and on and on....if your using an m3p it has nothing to do with data...its playing songs off the phones hardrive...so them slowing or shuting off your data would do nothing to the mp3 player or speed...

now since somthing happend to your speed as you said this means you were infact using somone online streaming feature for music or movies....according to the TOS you agreed to when buying the phone they slow your data ussage down after a certain cap...but not stop it....FYI all companys do this...not just straight talk...then you called customer service and lied to the representative about how your data speeds were slowing down but you didnt use them....if you dont use them how do you know they are slowing down? hmm

TLDR your a liar that probably just put to much on your harddrive and it lagged your phone at...this issue had nothing to do with data...and you lying to customer service only worsened the issue rather then helping to get it fixed.

I have had straight talk for a couple years now and I normally buy the 45$ card but money was short last month and I could only purchase a 30$ in july 2013 and my phone didn't keep track of the minutes or text that I used and when I would call and check my account balance it said my service was good till aug 2013 so money fell short again and I had to purchase a 30$ card again I called in using my credit card and they excepted my payment and took the money off my credit card and sent me a text saying thank you for refilling your service my phone then was on for 12 hrs after that and it was turned off so I called them and they said that my phone was permanently deactivated because I went over 1000 min in july well my question is if u purchase a prepaid phone card for a 1000 mins usually the company wont allow u to use your phone after the 1000 mins are up but like I said there was noway in checking on my mins I had used so they said I now have to go purchase a new phone and a new service plan card in order for me to have my phone again after the already stole my 30$ and had my phone on for 12 hours when I called to complain u cant get one American on the phone to hardly understand what they are saying I think that this is an error on their part and are making me pay for it so now the phone I have is no good which its a fairly new one and they stole my 30$ over a mistake on their end this company is ran by foreigners trying to just take our American money and when u call them and push 1 for English good luck getting an American I doubt even 1 works there I would never suggest using this company to anyone they are a scam im contacting the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU on them scammers watch out people

Straight Talk Wireless in Liverpool, New York - International minutes

Purchased phone on 6-29-2013; did not work and returned it to Walmart and exchanged it. I had already authorized straight talk to automatically deduct each month for air time. On 7-15-2013 I added international calling since I was assured that Germany was on their calling plan. Instead of charging me $15, they deducted $67.17 from my account. When I tried calling germany the automated system told me that the number cannot be called. I spent 3 hours on the phone with different customer service reps, that told me the number is not in their calling plan! When i asked for a refund they said they do not refund international calling and when i said you @sses double billed me they transferred me again. As of today I still have not received a refund; when writing them all you get is the number to call them and the game begins again. They will keep you on hold for 30 minutes and transfer you from "manager" to "manager". I filled a complaint with the BBB and I will talk to Walmart tomorrow in the hopes of getting my money for the phone back. Better to pay a little more with a company that values their customers.

So I have been with Straight Talk for about 2 years and never had an issue with them until today! How can you advertise that you have unlimited talk, text, & web when you suspend somebody's data plan!?!?!? That's false advertising!!! I wouldn't recommend no one to do business with them since they want to tell people what they can or can't do with a phone that the customer paid for!!! Then they say you can only do so much on the phone when browsing on the internet. In that case it's not unlimited!!! I will no longer be a customer of Straight Talk especially after the CSRs & Supervisor was very rude and hung up on me!!!

Straight Talk Wireless in Bluefield, West Virginia - Straight Talk phone freezes up,most places NO service.

I had Net 10 for a while and decide to change to Straight Talk because a friend of mine said the service was much better where I live. So I sold my Net 10 phone and bought another 149.00 Straight Talk phone and put the 45.00 Unlimited Plan on it. The service sucks. I had better service on the Net 10 plan than I ever have on Straight Talk. Very disappointed in their service and phone. Trying to decide now what I need to do. I don't advise anyone to go with Straight Talk or buy their phone service.

Straight Talk Wireless in Douglasville, Georgia - Straighttalk wireless

Was double charged in April. Straighttalk now has " no record of that"! This month (July 2013) they charged me 30.00 as usual but gave me no minutes, messages or data. My phone displays 0 days and 06/06/13 exp. date The rep said, " you must have got everything because you have 325 minutes balance etc.". Only reason I have any balance is because I have what's left from my June balance. I emailed Straighttalk many times & they continue to refer to "customer service" who are WORTHLESS. They owe me 60.00 plus tax. I plan to sue them as well as Walmart!!!!! Class action suit anyone?? Don't do business with them!!!

Straight Talk Wireless in Daytona Beach, Florida - LIAR LIAR STRAIGHT TALK

I spent over $100.00 for an Android phone and was told when and if I ever needed to change/down grade my phone plan I would be able to. WRONG!!!! Liars liars. I am unable to do as I was promised and now have a phone I can't use. Is there any phone service that keeps their word? I didn't just pick up up off a shelf and purchase it, I spoke with a company representative. As a matter of fact, we spoke at great length. So nice to your face and laughing at me all the way to the bank with my CASH!

they only have one plan for smart phones for 45/mo. you can buy multiple months though. you can downgrade to their 30/mo plan but you need a nonsmartphone which they give free on their website.
