i switched over to new phone and been with ST for going on 5 years now. i do auto payment and for 3 months they charged me $30, which is what i orginally had prior to switching. they ended up charging me the $45. said because my phone was not combatable for the $30. kinda fun it was for those 3 months. so they can hook you up on the $30 the plan for smart phones. they just don't want to. smart phones are the wave of the future but it is going to cost us because of the high demand of need.

Their phone call in for assistance is the worst I've ever experienced in my life. Completely useless with stall tactics to keep you on the line. Don't buy Straight talk products unless you plan on spending at least three to four hours a month on hold in order to get your service to work.

It's hardly 3-4 hours per month, but yes, you might spend 3-4 hours with your initial activation. Once you get it going it's generally pretty smooth sailing.

Straight Talk Wireless - Unhappy with customer service

I have used straight talk for several years. I called customer service because I got a new phone and could not get the internet. Since I pay for the unlimited plan, I wanted it fixed. I spent over an hour on the phone and then the lady told me that my phone would not accept the APN setting because my phone was a bring your own phone program. After I got off the phone a co worker took my phone and I had internet with in 10 minutes. I think the customer service agents need more training and need to know what they are talking about before telling the customers that they have to buy a new phone to get the internet when they don't. The problem was that they were giving me the wrong APN.
