Mine is doing the same thing right now! It has been for the last two days!

Like someone else said, it should not say unlimited if it's not..

to me that's false advertising! :(

I have straight talks unlimited plan. I purchased the 6 month card.

They had an automated recording call me 2 days ago to tell me that I have been using too much data and that I needed to stop using so much or they would either turn off my data or disconnect my phone altogether. My 6- months I up in August.

I won't be renewing. Totally agree straight talk shouldn't sell unlimited if its not unlimited

I have straight talk and I love it. I use the internet daily on it but not all day long.

Maybe you should consider another service and pay more money. We all have phones with straight talk and love their service.

My service end date is supposed to be on 6-3-2013. Today while on the phone with my father, my call was abruptly shut off. I contacted Straight Talk to ask about the number of minutes used which I purchased 1000. The only minutes they would give me was the amount of...

Straight Talk Wireless in Columbia, Tennessee - Straight Talk Doubles Debit Pmts

This has happened to me several times-being charged Twice when I authorize 1 Payment!!! They say it's a mistake-but WHY does it keep happening?? *I see THOUSANDS of complaints from consumers. Why don't we form a Civil Suit? DTPA? It stands for Deceptive Trade Practices Act...where when a company is being deceptive-they pay you 3 TIMES THE AMOUNT YOU SUE FOR??? Just a thought. The owner Obviously doesn't care about customer Service-he hires people who can't even speak English-so How do you understand them-or vice versa?*I DO NOT RECOMMEND STRAIGHT TALK TO ANYONE!!!!!*Not even my worst enemy.

Straight Talk Wireless in Kingsport, Tennessee - Disgusted

I purchased a smart phone from walmart about a month and a half ago. Since I had the phone I have had *** service half the time I don't even get a signal. When I called they told me they couldn't exchange the phone because the phone had been previously activated and not under warranty, apparently it was a store return. I tried taking it back to walmart and they told me I had to contact the company. I contacted the company again and they said the phone will not work in my area because it runs off a carrier that doesn't have any towers close to my area and yet the same thing they basically told me I was stuck with this phone they couldn't exchange it. I have been with this company for five years and didnt deserve the treatment I got and being told I am stuck with a phone that doesn't work. This is rediculous.

Straight Talk Wireless in Memphis, Tennessee - Straight talk is just that only talk

I bought a sim card for the bring your own phone and it did not work. As a simple solution, I went to Walmart and bought the straight talk phone. I was told after 1 hr to proceed with activation. It has been over 24 hrs now and I am without a phone. The people at the company are useless. They continue to say there is nothing they can do and put you off til a later time. I have spoken to 5 representatives at each of their so called resolution time. Now I have spoken with a supervisor and she was worthless. She told me another 24hrs. I explained that the number has been ported and I paid for minutes but yet I have no phone. They stated they must get in touch with the people in which my phone will work with (verizon towers). This is absolutely absurd.

Straight Talk Wireless in Nashville, Tennessee - Excessive data

Update by user May 02, 2013

I forgot to add on while Wal-Mart is the exclusive dealer for this company they DO NOT encourage their associates to use it. It's not one of the companies that they have negotiated a discounted rate for. I really should have paid attention to that before i joined up with them.

Update by user May 02, 2013

Since my last post I have gone back to a contract phone. But that wasn't the end of the fun Straight Talk decided to have with me.

I had my new carrier port my number over to their service about 2 weeks before my refill would have occurred. The new carriers tech support said with the 5 minutes that he has spent on the phone with Straight Talk's tech support he was surprised I had stayed as long as i did.

The other day I get an email saying that my service refill is coming up and blah blah blah. I called them up and explained that I had removed my phone number and myself from their service and that they needed to make sure that I wouldn't be billed for another month. The guy on the other end apparently heard "I want to unenroll (their word) for the auto refill for my phone." His response was to rattle off that I save money by having it taken straight from my account. I again said i wasn't with them anymore I am not supposed to be billed by them again and could he please make sure i wasn't going to be billed again. He tells me he can unenroll me in the auto refill but that being so close to the payment date it will still take the money out of my account. I had to take a deep breath at this point, and make sure i was hearing this correctly "so since i removed my phone number and myself from your services well before the new payment cycle started but i didn't unenroll with one of you i still have to pay for a month i'm not going to use with you?" "Ma'am you can always request a refund." "i shouldn't have to ask for a refund for something i'm not purchasing." "i'm sorry ma'am there's no way to stop the computer from doing this."

I assured the guy there was something i could do and wished him a wonderful day. My next phone call was to my bank talking to them for 5 minutes explaining the situation. Because it was linked to my debit card they couldn't stop the payment but i could cancel my card and pick the new one up the next day at my local branch. Which is what i did.

Today i get an email telling me that my phone is going to be shut off if i don't buy a refill card. Wait i thought that wouldn't kick in until next month?

Last night my phone starts flashing an error code 67. No big deal i just have to call tech support and they'll fix it like they did last month. wow was i wrong. i have just spent 3 HOURS trying to get somebody to listen and turn my data back on. apparently i was using excessive data and they cut off the date portion of my UNLIMITED plan. i tried to stay polite but some of the people were just so down right rude and arrogant. they kept transferring me to some Data department that was nothing but teleprompts, after they assured me that there was going to be a human at the other end of the line. It took me almost an hour and 5 phone calls to have them track down how much is considered excessive data (apparently 1.5 gb). They then were pretty much accusing me of breaking their Terms of Service, "well do you have a home computer ma'am?" "yes i do." "well ma'am you can't use your phone to connect your home computer to the Internet." "I'm not" "well ma'am that is just an example of something we call tethering." So i go round and round and round trying to get somebody that can turn my data back on. i keep hearing "oh we're not allowed to do that" or "oh we can't do that from here." Somewhere in that company is somebody that can turn on the data, they can over ride the computer and fix the issues, which apparently they're having a ton of. i finally had enough and asked to talk to the ranking manager that was on duty since nobody else would listen, i waited on hold for almost 30 minutes only to hear the phone pick up and then get hung up. I called back and from the start said i want to speak to the ranking manager that is currently on duty in the company. repeated the issues over and over and over again. i finally find somebody that's semi listening (i think) the most she'll, do cause she can't turn on the data, is give me 5 free days at the end of this service cycle. Now hang on, she can't give me my data back but she can give me 5 days of free service at the end of this cycle; so instead of going 4-6 days without my data I'd be going 9-11 days without the data. I've had it with this company, yeah the price is good but i never had issues like this with my contract phones. time to go back.

I, too, have a samsung galaxy 2 phone for almost 1 year and no problems until 1 month ago. I noticed after 2 weeks of refilling my service that my 4G was turned off I called customer service and they told me I buy elated their terms and conditions.

they told me I should be using wifi when I am home I was really mad and they would not put me in touch with the supervisor. today, July 20th, after 4 days of renewing my minutes and cell phone plan I am off again turned off from having any 4G service. I call to speak to customer service and ask for a manager when I was told I violated terms and conditions. BS!!!

like I said, I just renewed my contract for days ago and when I was home if I did happen to use the internet I would always turn on my wifi. this is a breach of contract they did not put me through to a supervisor the *** I spoke to told me that he is not allowed to put me through to a manager or supervisor. I have for straight talk phones throughout my family and you can bet that tomorrow I am going to the bank and disputing all four charges which we just renewed over the past week.

I'm sure they will be a lawsuit soon and I wish I knew how to start one. this is so wrong $50 a month I own a 350 dollar phone and I can even use it the way I'm supposed to.

Straight Talk Wireless in Arlington, Tennessee - Straight Talk Cell Phone

Recent experience with StraightTalk: --Purchased a Galaxy SII smartphone at WalMart for $350 and an airtime card for $45. --Discovered that the cell provider does NOT offer call forwarding - a feature readily available on all national cell carriers (note: StraightTalk uses AT&T). --WalMart refunded the purchase price of the phone but not the airtime card ($45). --Contacted StraightTalk - Spent nearly an hour on the phone with customer service before a knowledgeable rep came on the line. They refused to refund any of the $45 citing a policy of not refunding airtime. I DO NOT recommend StraightTalk for two reasons: 1. Poor customer service 2. No call forwarding feature

you can set up call forwarding on any droid phone (most phones acually) if you go to the call settings.....why try to do it from the carrier itself?
