$ 30 cards | Straight Talk Wireless review from Chester, Virginia

Just bought a 30 dollar straight talk calling card I tried to add it online, but it said it couldn't accept it. Walmart wouldn't let me switch the card to buy a $45 card it is a pain in the but out of 30 dollars and have a card i cannot use. Also I had to purchase another plan off line so that my number would not get cut off. I Should have went with t-mobile had them for a couple of years and I never had any problems. I wish n-telos still had service on the east coast.

i bought a samsung phone at walmart and decided to buy a straight talk unlimited card. Today my phone crashed so i called straight talk helpline.I first talked to a man who did not help me.And when I called and asked to speak to a manager She was not able to speak clearly enough that we could communicate well. She became frustrated with me and hung up on me.She gave me a number to call with no code so I called the number and talked to Michelle she helped me but in order to make this right I have to be without a phone for two weeks. My job requires me to have a phone. This has been a very disrupting thing.

I'm waiting on my replacement phone to come. The straight talk people i have spoke with have done nothing but set there and lied to me first they told me it would be here by the 2nd of November at the latest. They've had me waiting one too many weeks!!! After telling me my phone has already been shipped they said call back the next bushes day for a tracking number, well then they decided to tell me they didn't have my phone in stock n that they were out of them but were fixing the issue and waiting on the phone to get to warehouse to ship to me and call back again the next day for the tracking number once again... And of course there is no tracking number yet, last night they asked what phone would i pick that is around the price of mine, and i said the htc one. They said i could have that phone instead and i said OK. They said call back today once again so i did they then proceed to tell me it isn't shipped and i have to wait until my phone is in stock and lord knows how long that will be. I don't see why they offered to give me the htc one if they weren't going to send it like they said they would. They also said they were giving me a month of free minutes but i can't use it till i get my phone. And just also said they will give me extra minutes for the time i go without my phone. I'm steaming mad b/c of the way they have treated me and for the fact i still haven't gotten my replacement phone. It is pitiful the way i was treated, i was lied to many many times. Don't make promises you can't keep!!!! Just be HONEST WITH ME!!! STRAIGHT TALK DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HONESTY IS!!! I just want my phone delivered like it was supposed to be a long time ago.!!!

They finally sent my phone off today. But they promised I would have it, once again this past Thursday.

They promised to overnight my delivery and got it sent off today I then found out I had been lied to once again by a few of them. I was really upset at the fact I had been lied to by not one but 3 different "managers" or they said they were. I wanted my package over night delivered and was promised I was! and have proof.

It's just not right that you'll be lied to just so they can hang up and go on to the next customer....

I dealt with more these past few weeks then I've ever dreamed of!!! It's honestly ridiculous

I purchased a brand new Apple phone and Straight Talk. The phone is wonderful, but Straight Talk is the worst providers I have ever used. Frequently, my data is snail slow even at the start of a new month. I would rate the Internet as unusuable most of the time. I have spent hour after hour on hold at Straight Talk. They always blame the phone, the weather, cat *** or anything except their horrible service. I have moved a number of times and always found a good provider until I was punched by Straight Talk. I am now with another monthly provider and I am delighted with the service. The entire Straight Talk situation is a scam on the American consumer. Don't have anything to do with them. Run away!

I have a new roommate who has straightalk. When he moved out here, he had problems..searching for signal constantly despite a cell tower .7 of a mile from the house. Called on my phone and was told it was his battery, bought a new battery, still didn't work at the house, although it works 5 miles from here. Called on my phone again, was told he needed a new phone, bought a new phone. Spent 2 days trying to activate it, finally went through when we were away from the house. Still no service at the house. Called on my phone yet again, was told it was the phone?????and he needed a new phone again. Went online and was told that there is no cell service here in spite of the cell tower down the street at the rescue squad. Got a code and number for the escalation unit. Went to town and called them, the "escalation rep" said the cell tower needed to be activated in his phone by calling from it at the house. This was supposedly because it was a different carrier from where he previously lived. What part of no service do they not understand? I demanded a supervisor or manager, waited almost an hour. Finally, after 2 1/2 hours more she said we could call from my phone with his phone on and they could do the activation. Explained to them for the umpteenth time that I used all my anytime minutes trying to resolve this issue and get his new phone activated. They tell me it is my responsibility, wtf?, and if I am not willing to do this there is nothing they can do. The "manager" says she will put minutes on my phone, I ask how she will do this since I have Verizon, she says no problem. She comes back a minute later and tells me she is unable to do this since I have a Verizon phone. Duh. She says I will have to call from my home phone with his phone turned on and they will fix the problem. Who has a home phone in the US? Maybe they do in the Phillipines where they are located. I tell her I have no home phone and she acts shocked, then says I will have to use my cell phone. I ask if I will be reimbursed for my overage charges, she says no. We go home and against my better judgement I call from my phone with his phone there and on. We go through the same bs, take out the battery, reset the phone, etc. The "escalation expert" says we need a new phone. I explain again that it is not the phone, that it works everywhere but where we live. I ask for the manager again, the rep says she is the manager, I tell her I spoke to the "manager" an hour ago and it was not her, she then says "oh, she is my supervisor". Yeah, that's usually how it works. I wait 65 minutes for the "manager" and she says that there is nothing they can do, the problem is with the phone since it does not work. I talked with her for 2 hours on it a little earlier when I was 5 miles from home...how is it the phone? She says that there end is showing connectivity (not her word, she doesn't speak English well enough for that), so it has to be the phone. Then she says she will escalate to the "network specialist" but of course they only work Monday thru Friday, 9 to 5, EST. They will call me on Monday. Like I really believe that. All total, I have used 567 minutes on my phone dealing with this. I have a pretty liberal plan with Verizon, but it is the end of my billing month, so I am now over by 236 minutes at 45 cents a minute. Am I pissed? You could say so, although I wouldn't put it so mildly. I worked for years in the Office of the President of a multi-billion dollar corporation handling complaints and I have to say that if I had provided the kind of service this company does, I would have been fired. There is no complaint resolution, their goal seems to be keep you on the phone forever, tell you lies, change the story many times, and hope you give up. I will not give up because they have made me so mad. This man is physically and mentally disabled, he needs a phone for 911 and human contact. He has no car and we have no bus service (not that he could figure out how to use it if we did), and can't be totally isolated while I am working. If he has a health emergency, he can't even call 911...he would have to walk the .7 of a mile to the rescue squad and I don't see him able to do that even on a good day, certainly not in an emergency. When I inquired of the "manager" about the supposed "Nationwide" service, she told me that it is Nationwide, but they have to activate the cell towers in each phone. Excuse me, how is that Nationwide if you have to be in a location with a working phone to get the towers activated? I asked her why I have been told so many different stories and if anybody there has any idea what they are doing. She assured me that she does, but of course this was before she tried to put minutes on my Verizon phone and before she told me that he needs another new phone. I'm glad I laughed at her and told her that I doubted she has any idea what she is doing. I don't expect to hear from anyone at straigttalk and will begin my letter writing campaign, and my complaints to the BBB, Attorney General, and the FCC this weekend while I wait for their call. I am 56 years old and have never encountered such incompetence in my life. What a load of garbage this company is.
